Well here is what you do, multiply each rotor by .654 L x 3 sides and you get the displacement for these motors.

2 rotor .654L x 2 x 3 = 3.9L  13b

3 rotor .654L x 3 x3 = 5.89L 20b

4 rotor .654L x 4 x 3 = 7.85L 26b

Now you know why they DRINK petrol.

@85VWWesty The capacity is simple maths, the 20b has 3 rotors, each with 3 chambers, each chamber is 654cc i.e 3 x 3 x 0.654 = 5886cc.

Using Advandestromath's maths would make the Nissan Z370 a 1.2L engine.

Impressive numbers for 1.3L displacement. A very narrow power band however as the graph is very parabolic. I would rather have a consistent 600hp and flat torque curve from 3k rpm on, than a peak of 900hp at redline. That's just my 2 cents :-p

1.3L is the factory 13b, according to what i read, if it's right, it's a 2.0L 20b out of the mazda cosmo, unless it was built using 13b rotor housings.... But i'll take your 2 cents, i agree with you on how i'd personally like my motor set up

Heh Heh, i must've been drunk, of course built rotaries can pull past 10k rpm. Its a fuzzy graph but if it puts down over 800hp from 7k on then thats a nice power band. I would still prefer a flatter torque curve for cruisin the streets, but its prolly a monster at the track.

899whp or at the output? It's still not a terribly big feat, since there are turbo IIs running over 650 hp with 2 rotors. This car is using E85, so we can assume it's fuel mixture is tuned pretty aggressively, and still "only" 900? If it's at the wheels, different story though.

It's all in the peripheral porting (p-port). Makes the air's path as straight as can be through the engine making more horses at very high revs. This thing would keep pulling to beyond 12000rpm I would imagine. Still, a p-port means you get shit-all midrange torque, but no one cares about that in a closely-geared, drag/race/drift car.

Really easy! A stock, no extra porting 2.0 liter *3 rotor* engine puts down close to 300 rwhp. Throw a decent sized turbo on there, get 450. Peripheral Port it and throw a bigger turbo on her....easy.
