Speaking of bloodedge, his existence just made the whole blazblue universe even more complicated. What exactly IS the black beast? Technically, it's ragna and nu merged together, ragna being the body and nu being the heart. However, if ragna is bloodedge, then why is the black beast still there? Because it's nu, and nu alone. So, even if they are all from the future, hakumen, bloodedge and the black beast came from alternate continuties....?

@dududu9531 Pretty much. And as for the Black Beast, technically it is Nu and Ragna combined, but not all of Ragna, just his Azure Grimoire, i.e. right arm.

That's why blazblue can be very confusing to someone unfamiliar with the game. Normally: Black beast= ragna+nu in past. Bloodedge's universe: black beast=nu in past. Bad ending: black beast=ragna, terumi's words: black beast=cauldron. And then there's also hakumen, who came from a noel-less universe. So, in short, we're not only talking about multiple time loops in the present here, we're talking about multiple realitites from both the future and the past XD
