  • Votograter, thank you for posting this. I grew up watching David on KATC-TV in Lafayette and later worked with him at WWL Radio. He gave me my subject for my Masters thesis. He was my hero. He passed away in 2005.

  • @marlainirving I think it's safe to say he was a hero to radio listeners in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. I'll never forget him staying up overnight during Tropical Storm Isidore in 2002 and then Hurricane Ivan in 2004 keeping us all up to date. I remember he had to cut back most of his work hours not long after Ivan when he had a recurrence of his cancer. It was sad to see that he spent his last hours of his life just a couple weeks after Katrina's landfall watching the coverage

  • @bayou432 from a home of extended family in Oklahoma. He would have been a great voice for the people these last several years.

  • The PD here in GJ have for a long time been able to act with no accountability. Latinos, poor people, and activists have long known that the police have grudges they settle with force or through the courts.

Recent arrests and firings of two GJPD officers one for beating a woman and another for raping a woman, is just the tip of the iceberg.

Demand citizen oversight and public hearings.
