@55RIste dx11 includes tessellation. In your case i infer that your graphics card is horrible and your gameplay is laggy because of it. Dx11 will not fix it and in fact will cause even more lag due to the fact of higher details and processing needed.

@Tpwn3d you dont download graphics cards... you buy them. they are hardware, ergo, it can not be downloaded off the internet, it is a physical object you can buy off of any hardware distributor. I reccomend the ati 5770 or gtx 460

Windows XP DX9, DX10.

Windows Vista DX9, DX10, DX11.

Windows 7 DX,9 DX10, DX11.

XP has an update to support DX10 and Vista has an update for DX11. If you have windows 7 and it says DX11 it doesn't mean your video card is DirectX 11. DirectX10.1 is just DX10 which uses some features of DX11 in games.

Vista has DX10 by default, 7 has DX11 by default. 7 doesn't need 10, because it has a higher version.
