Was there that night and what a great night it was. Hope Rocky considers Retiring 27 for JR and 24 for Douglas Wilson, they both deserve it.

Dad grew up in one of the greatest time periods in hawk hockey... if not the best time in hockey its self! Heard many of stories, and I'm blessed to have seen a game at the old Chicago Stadium before the Untied Center... talk about a piece of history! place would roar and the rafters would shake!!!

let's be very honest in calling the old chicago stadium a dump. i mean, a dump is a dump. no escalators, obstructed views with posts galore, insufferable concourses where u could die of smoke inhilation and a scoreboard fr the al capone era. yeah what a great place for an event 16,666 breathing their last . i would have gladly operated the wrecking ball for this shithole and demoished it. the united center is a great place to watch any event. case closed as archie bunker woulde say.

Although i'm a Ranger fan myself. I really have to say that those 2 players made a permanent effect on the NHL. Good to see that the Hawks haven't forgotten about them.
