Yeah, what makes other covers of this song is the fact that they show something different but to it's fullest. This is quite boring this version as there is no 'wow' factor in this version. Muse and Adam Lambert pushed this song to new limits and had that 'wow' that a cover should give it. Even Michael Buble's version is quite boring as there isn't anything exciting about it, nor with this version.

I've been checking out all the covers of this song I could find. Got interested after hearing J. Hudson's version. I have enjoyed each I have heard so far, some more than others.

I like the Buble and Lambert renditions LEAST but they were okay.

I like JHuds for waking up in the morning and getting ready; Simone's, for introspection. Glad for this one too for mellowing out. You cannot ruin this SONG! It's an awesome song, a gift to us.

I understand that there can be many different interpretations of one song, but for me, this doesn't really work that well. I don't think you can rush this, and I feel like that's what she did, but I still think she's a talented singer. I'm not at all well educated in music, so you can disregard my opinion, but some of the "sounds" (for lack, but want of a better word) in this are too childish and high. I think Buble has an incredible cover of this. The Nina Simone original is good but I think people on here are always quick to "big up" the original. I find that pretentious because 1: They probably weren't born then, and 2: It's not their genuine feeling, its what they think is the right thing to do. This interpretation os of course different but if people stop comparing it to other versions and listen to the quality of a voice like Nicole's then its very good.

Music is not a competitive sport, no matter how much you love the original version sooner or later your mind will switch off to it simply because it is so familiar to you.
