La canción es sobre un cuento verdad del artista Ben Folds. Las palabras de la canción describen un niño cuyo padre matará a su perro viejo, y el niño está hablando con Dios, diciendo que si Dios salve el perro, el niño nunca usará drogas otra vez ni masturbarse. Es bastante cómica porque el perro vive pero el niño todavía hace estas cosas. Es un poquito dificíl describer en otra idioma—lo siento!

Incredible video! This is one of my favorite Glen songs of all time, I still remember the first time I heard it, my heart freezing at "that moment". Fun to share in the "first listen" of the people at this party, hear their reactions. LOOOOVE IT!

drive-by goes through phases i think. sometimes it wants to be sort of a novelty song...and i'm convinced that i've heard it enough. but sometimes it's not a novelty song, and then it's just clever and amazing.
