I got here via a circuitous route - reading that Preston played with the Beatles at their last performance (the rooftop concert), then watching his scene from the end of the Sgt Peppers movie (dude can really move, I wish I could move with half as much grace), saw this vid in the sidebar and I am totally blown away.
@hardballget has it right: "overflowing abundance of joyous talent". A beautiful description of a beautiful man.
No one in history has ever came close to the funk, soul, rhythm and ability that poured out of Billy Preston like water down Niagara. Overflowing abundance of joyous talent. Truly one of a kind and will be surely missed but much loved and adored in his absence. R.I.P. oh great one
He did a mean James Brown style Mashed Potatoes to get back to the Microphone. This kind of reminds me of something I saw Maceo Parker do in some footage of the "Uncle Jam Wants You Tour", really good dancing that also kinds of comes off as a James Brown spoof (locing of course). I love this though!
RAY CANT EVEN SEE HIS MOVES AWMAGAAAD!!!!
