@ITPCD you have to read it in context. when you spar like this you don't know who is going to attack next and you'll get attacked by multiple attackers. if you were actually attacked by everyone at the exact same time there wouldn't even be room for all the attackers to get in to get an attack on you. the point is, you have to be watching everyone because anyone could be the next attacker
esto es una locura yo estoy en krav maga y no mames, luchar con 3 a la vez osea atacandote ala vez es lo mas desgastante que he hecho en mi vida, eso deberian de ponerle a los gorditos para quemar calorias, pelear contra 10!!! impensable
okay guys krav maga blends techniques from other martial arts into it i take it in northern virginia because theres lots of thugs it already helped me out when i got in a fight at school but u have to be careful because when you learn this stuff u become really dangerous and its not for people with anger issues becuz u can kill somebody really easily
This isn't IKMF Krav Maga... They were training with Krav Maga Haim Zut. And the Israeli Defense Forces, which last I knew, was headed up by a former student of Krav Maga Haim Zut.
@traverseification the vast majority of people go their entire lifespans without getting in as much as a fistfight, much less the multiple attacker knife fight present in KM marketing videos. Not only is it impossible to win or defeat multiple opponents, it gives people a false sense of security. If its done as a stress drill it's one thing, to believe you can sinlehandedly take on a gang is a fairy tale
@lsloewen2 no doubt, i think its really up to the instructor to be honest about situation like that, the same goes w/ knife and gun defense, especially knives.
@traverseification most martial arts do not have the hyper emphasis on the survival only attacks Krav does. They emphasize the extreme level of violence you would only use of your life is threatened. Many traditional MA's do this as well, but in today's modern age of MMA, more and more ppl realize kill-or-be-killed tactics are not only unfounded, but unnecessary and if they are continually marketed as must-have techniques, it is fear based
@tdotdroski it really depends krav maga isn't a martial art but really a defense system. Muay thai there is rules, krav maga there isn't really at all. I do muay thai which is thai kickboxing its 1 of the 2 probably for you. Krav maga there is wooden guns allowed, kick to the balls, etc...
@bloodynachos yeah, you and every Krav practicioner an advocate in the worlds has used KM in a "real situation". There is no way to prove it, most people never get into ANY altercation past grade school and never need any type of fight-training, much less the "how to kill 10 ppl" marketing of Krav
@traverseification your comment doesn't make sense. Any time there is criticism of KM the reply is, "that's not real KM". KM is NOT a good form to train in, there is no such thing as eliminating multiple opponents with MA. It's silly, fear based and deconstructive for this who participate
@lsloewen2 Oh, yea? Why don't you try it? It teaches stamina, endurance, courage. In "one against many drill" these are the main things. First time I did it, I thought I would freak out from fear.
I had some training in judo, several years in karate. And in Krav Maga in just 2 weeks I learned more then in all previous experience. There are drill like 1 vs.2(3,4), and something similar to a multiplayer death match =)
@lsloewen2 well all bias aside,my comment actually does make sense. see, at no point did i say this wasn't KM. i said a poor example! lets be smart. also as i agree that indeed it is uncommon to engage more than 1 or 2 individuals, there is such a thing as engaging multiple assailants at once. check the news. lastly, is not all self defense fear based? hah i thought so. point is that all martial arts has its place or it wouldn't have been created! show respectful to all divisions.
This video like many have said is a poor example of krav maga and why i personally think it is a good form to be trained in, this video doesnt show it. The technique went out the window as soon as the fight started, this guy had problems because he went into the engagement thinking it was a fight, not an elemination of an opponent. The teacher said keep pushing. That doesnt mean to fight harder, it means you take each target and destroy them as quickly and efficiently as possible. Critical stri
@holysoks1 I did KM for 6 months and found the philosophies, training methodologies and level of instruction to not be worth my money. It can't prove on YouTube so it becomes, irrelevant. Try to make arguments that are reasonable.
@lsloewen2 if only you knew. my friend who has pretty much been boxing his whole life, got his ass handed to, when he got in a fight, and ended up getting stabbed. krav maga is for self defense, real life stituations, that could involve weapons. i have actually used some of these techniques in real life. and let me tell you they do work.
@holysoks1 Ah, more marketing. A guy going on a psychopathic rampage against two cars of people and 5 cops is not self defense, and if the IDF uses KM for riot control, why is there no video footage of it ever? Its one thing to ADRESS multiple opponents, it's another to fraudulently claim you have any shot at victory, like so many KM practicioner's believe they can
@lsloewen2 i completely agree with what your saying, and thats coming from a guy who practices KM. There is no simple way or sole "technique" that going to guarantee as you stated a "shot of victory" against multiple opponents, that just implausible. So KM teaches you next best, the mentality that you can survive an attack from 10 men. KM isnt a competition based MA, and i think people have to understand there's a difference between winning and surviving, even if its just long enough to run away
@lsloewen2 dude just do some research, be open minded and u might change ur mind, techniques from this have been used since the 1940s and they have seminars for cops and for them to use it it must be approved by experts
@7ndei the sad thing is, I would believe it. The same hyper-paranoia that makes ppl believe they will have to fight 10-people at once in their lives is the same as people that ACTUALLY stock up for a zombie apocalypse. The guy in this demo is probably one of those KM guys that says things like "I could walk right through any UFC fighter on the streets" I hate KM so much
@holysoks1 Whether or not i have "practical experience" is 100% irrelevant on youtube. I would LOVE to see evidence of this. It is a fantasy situation, there is no more need to prepare for this than there is a need to buy zombie repellant. It IS made up.To give outside people the impression that fighting this way is necessary for self-defense is hyper paranoia and is irreponsible. Most people go there entire lives without getting into ANY type of fight, much less being attacked by 10 ninjas
@lsloewen2 Learning to fight against just one opponent is stupid.
Your comments are fucking moronic, of course your lack of practical experience is relevant, how can you comment on it literally no clue of what your'e talking about?
Not to mention that the IDF learn this to deal with riot control and body guard training.
I was about to link you to a drunken man starting on 2 cars filled with people and is only pacified when 5 police officers restrain him.
@lsloewen2 and to address this comment, i again agree completely.... but you have yet again understand that its the media who often records the training. and why is this important you might ask? well its because the media wants to pin point and showcase anything and everything that is interesting and or different such as KM, that has one portion of its training that touches base w/ the idea of multiple attackers. We like to call them stress drills....
@lsloewen2 10 training buddies viciousness attacking you in full gear = the stress of being suddenly attack by a sole stranger a night out of no where. its meant to simulate the adrenaline and tiredness you might feel in a case of a sudden attack. as nerve racking as it may be, its still kinda hard to simulate a real attack in a gym or even outdoor setting, especially w/ guys you train with and people you know, theres still a mental restraint with hurting a friend.
@lsloewen2 personally ive only being doing krav for a sort while, but if you any question about it ill be happy to answer with the best of my ability. just like any MA, the quality of a gym can vary from place to place and instructor to instructor, and by the comments ive heard on here, from student to student (no offense but even if you dont practice krav and are trying to defend it, have some self discipline and dont be an ass ).
@holysoks1 Ive also seen how Krav ppl react to the "we are on video 24/7 in today's tech age, why cant you prove it by footage of one KM fighter somewhere in the world being attacked by a criminal?" Your about to direct me to the video of the professional turkish boxer who was attacked while in the street by a crowd of middle-aged men and knocks some of them out. That one example (which your about to direct me to) is not even KM. Its a combat sport , boxing. Sportive sparring = effectiveness
@BIGPIMPINUPDANYC Well thing is I've trained KM myself, and we didn't start learning to handle multiple opponents untill several weeks into the first semester. And even so what we began with was simply pushing away opponents instructed to do the old-school zombie walk and try to grab our throats in a chokehold. We started with one person and went up to 7 simultaneously doing it (not taking turns) It was hard as fuck at that low level. So for him to do this with a few weeks training is good.
To all of you talking shit on this video, why dont you try being in his position? Thats a helluva lot harder vs. typing on the internet.
