  • Another dictator is running for his life this morning, of 22 August 2011, while most of his hideous family are being rounded up. Libya will be a democracy soon. Dictatorships are destined to fall. Dictators are destined to be brought to justice in the end. Only a few hours ago Gaddafi declared to the foreign media that "his people" loved him. His people are cheering the democracy fighters who entered Tripoli this morning. Gaddafi, unlike Kokos, will be tried at the Hague Court of Human Rights.

  • Parasites sell themselves as superior and live off the working people.

  • What a joy it is to hear Her Majesty Queen Anna Maria speaking in Greek. Since I don't speak Greek myself I can't tell how good her accent/grammar is, but at least it shows that the Queen made the effort to learn the language when she arrived in the country.

  • @mjlynn Are the Greeks expected to be flattered by the fact that she learned their language? She also learned English. So, why not Greek. How could it be otherwise?

  • @mjlynn "Her majesty"?????

There is no "majesty" in Greece. The notion of "majesty" was alien to Greek ears throughout Greek history - even in ancient Sparta where kingship was retained for adminstrative purposes they did not enjoy a "majesty" status.

  • @jiggyjiggy4ever Unfortunately, there will be "majesty" as long as there is servility!

  • @jiggyjiggy4ever

"Your Majesty" is even a very recent way to adress kings in Western Europe too! For a long time it was "Your Grace", "Your Lordship", "Sire", "My Lord", My Lady", a.s.o.

  • @Rotebuehl1 But not in Greece - even before democracy was established; e.g. not even in epic poetry: in Homer, where the mythical kings and princes are almost deified, they are referred to by adjectives which describe their appearance or virtues. Worth noting that the the Greek words basileus and anax (= king) are linguistically non-Hellenic and possibly non-Indoeuropean.

  • He is not Greek he is Danish..... we don't want him here!!!!!! he must stay in the exile!!!!!!!!! the birth place of democracy doesn't need Kings....

  • The last real Hellene King died in Constantinople at the age of 1453 May 29 defending the Gate of Agios Romanos his name Constantine Dragases Paleologos Roman Emperor King of Hellenes Despotes of Mystras we do not recognize as our Kings all the others rulers from Denmark Germany Bavaria or anywhere else !!!
