@KellyEUTAH it's called a "Block Tester". You can rent it from Auto Zone or any other auto parts store. Some may require you to buy it. The tester is usually $30-40 online or in the store, I rent mines for a $25 deposit at Auto Zone
blown head gasket...in my miata i had it fixed 1st time for 1k. re-blew in 6 months. mechanic listed all the incorrect things the first guy did (didn't have the head machined, scrapped off the old gasket and glued a new one right over that, re-used the existing valve seals instead of buying a new set...). fixed it right but that cost 3k this time. so, if it's a blown head gasket seriously think about getting another low miles engine.
@deemilieu why are all these miata drivers getting ripped off over head gaskets? They're the easiest car to do headgaskets replacements on! You can lift the head out, its that light!
autozone rents the kit and liquid for like $25 and you get ur money back after.
Make sure you suck about 2-3 inch of coolant outa the radiator first.. Then turn the engine on and follow the directions of the kit..
