  • i just found your video and omg, you're awesome! :) love your video so much!

  • you don't have wear the cap underneath when going out, your scarf won't slip. I do the same. If your scarf is slipery kind of material then those caps helps alot.

  • @106zilch my hair is slick so I rarely go without an underscarf

  • Lovely tutorial! Im a big fan :D Keep it up! :) I was just wondering, where did you get your hijab pins from? Lol I quite like them :P xx

  • @TheCrazyyOne94 thanks! & they were a gift

  • I totally relate to frequently pricking one's fingers with hijab pins. :- P As such, I often wear Al-Amiras.

  • hey, Hello, I am asian, from Taiwan, I really like your vids, very intresting!!

  • Salaam , nice scarf:)

  • Salam wa'alaikum,I think you are being such an inspiration for young sisters! Mashallah,I can see that you have made amazing progress on your journey and I just wanted to offer some constructive advice inshallah, your hair is showing when you only have your underscarf on,maybe in future you could wear a lycra tube underscarf when doing tutorials as you can pull them down further.in writing to you I honestly have the best intentions as I want the very best for all my muslim sisters x

  • @rimasheikho yea i see that now but it's not because of the underscarf type its because i had it behind the ears

  • could you do like a hijab/scarf collection?

  • @123TheSmileycow it's not very large imo but i will definitely add it to my list! thanks for the suggestion :)

  • Im Malaysian!!! Ive just started wearing my hijab before school started and im in eigth grade and live in the US. When I pin up my hijab i just go around the neck, not like around the back... Thats just I wat i do. and i luv the skinny long shawls kind scarves

  • @mininurulaini97 hmmm maybe it's not the malaysian way? hehe

  • @Saluff Im not sure though because I don't live in malaysia. I just visit cause all my family is there

  • oh okay thats really cool

  • I'm not Muslim so I'm not sure why I'm watching this seeing as it has no use for me, but it is so interesting and foreign, well, not foreign, but like, different.

  • @LaceyLovesJuicy hehe thanks :)

  • @LaceyLovesJuicy enjoy these Lacey, these scarf wrap styles are not just for Muslim women but any woman who needs to cover her head because of a desire for modesty, to protect a bare scalp after cancer treeatment or brain/cranial surgery while you wait for the hair to grow back, or for those who have alopecia and don't want to mess with a wig

  • how old were u when u started wearing hijabs?

  • @she actually made a video on all off her conversion but i think she was 18 or 19 but i may be wrong> Check the video out

  • @kl1587 I just started this past june!

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE the first way to wear the scarf. I'm lebanese and just recently started wearing the scarf instead of just the 2 pieces that you slide on your head. I'm hoping to buy thicker scarfs this winter season so I can try it out. THANKS!

  • Yay! I'm Malaysian too! heheheh Luvvvv u Saluff!

  • YAY for MALAYSIANS!

  • @graciemelody hehe =)

  • @staroneluv vlog is a "video blog". It's when you talk about what's going on & stuff. Not a tutorial, mostly like an update.

  • @staroneluv hahaha i literally laughed out loud at this! Selling them is a possibility. I can explain in the vlog i'm making today iA

  • I am just wondering... why all this drama over "showing the neck?" It seems to me that the jawbone is not the neck. It is the jaw, which is part of the face. Is this not a fact? I can't find the original comment so I'm not sure what the source of the argument is. But it seems clear to me that her neck is covered. It's a tutorial, so you are supposed to look at the end product, people. Seriously.

  • @popciclesedge that's what I thought I was doing, showing the jaw, but sometimes people with good intentions get a little judgmental. I feel like one of the major test of pious people is how arrogant they become.

  • @Saluff - Totally with you on that. Sometimes trying to give advice comes out as being self-righteous, especially in print. The most innocuous remark can spark a comment war! I've seen plenty of other tutorials where the girls wear a polo shirt, and show a lot more of the "neck." Compared to that, I can't see why they would be picking on you!

  • @popciclesedge thats the word I was looking for!!! Self-righteous. I was looking it up in the thesaurus & everything hahaha thanks it was killing me

  • @Saluff - Lol, no problem ;)

  • I'm a Muslim girl but I'm not an extremist and radical to pick on every little thing and call it haram!!! Islam us all about worshiping Allah and being a nice person! Helping others, having mercy on each other, being positive, ok?! Islam is not only about covering neck!! I love your videos and I value you because of the way you have chosen and I don't understand how some people are so ignorant and negative that they just come to pick on you and boast about knowledge I'm Islam!!

  • And no I'm not saying muslim women don't cover plz don't attack me for whoever that reads this I just want people to know that things like that don't need to be blowin up there's more issues in islam we need to fix and beTter are selfs so allah will forgive us and the ones that do bad under allahs name so you tell me a lil neck hair line or killing ppl and bringing harm under islam is worse..may allah bless your hearts*

  • @staroneluv hahaha I was trying to say the same thing & everyone jumped on me. I understand your fear for voicing a fact - that not everyone covers. I appreciate the nice words from the other comment :)

  • Steph don't worry about what ppl say look how I wear my scarf and I wish sombody would say something there are ppl that take things to the next level when truley allah judges by the heart I know muslim women that cover and some that don't and the ones coverd are trouble so now that allah is the judge and merciful most forgivng!!

  • I don't know if I heard right but I love when you poked your finger you said ewww..I think you ment ouch..

  • Where did you get those cute diamond type pins from? I love them!!!!

  • @PinkLemon717 an early follower sent them to me but i just checked her ebay & its empty so I guess she doesn't have them anymore :(

I would check some hijab stores - online or in person

  • @PinkLemon717 Me too!!!!! I want them

  • im curious, y do u wear the undercap in a criss cross way, doesnt it take much longer?

  • @narniapunk07 the cap is made that way lol

  • @N3wHijAbi correct hehe

  • Your pinss are always so adorable, i can never find anything like that here =)

  • @jjkutubi90 thanks :)

  • I thought it was haram to wear scarves with like, animal patterns/pictures of things on it?

  • Your too cute :)

  • Hijabis are hot.

  • @qwertyfshag hahaha well that's not my intention :P

  • i dont understand why everyones getting their knickers in a twist just because of showing the neck, LOADS of pple show their neck and the main point of wearing a hijab is to be modest and showing a bit of yr neck is fine and its not haram at ALL!

btw realy gd tutorial ;) <3

  • @candypopization; so you are saying that all the famous scholars such as ibn uthaymeen, ibn katheer, ibn abbas, imaam shafi'ee, ibn taymiyyaah, ibnul Qayyim etc etc, the sahabah, the prophet (saw), the Qur'aan are all wrong?

Its dangerous to make a fatawa based upon your own desires, bring me one scholar, one hadith, one ayaah of the Qur'aan that says its okay for the neck to show.

  • funny and pretty :)

  • i love your videos !

  • oh lordy, the neck police are out in force! lol.

Mashallah, I think ur styles are modest and nice. Anyone who thinks the styles are incorrect - all you need to do is just fluff out the material underneath ur chin or pull the scarf a bit tighter when wrapping it around. I don't think sister saluff is purposely showing her neck or promoting that kind of style. Basically, u need to get off high horses!

  • @quietfi123; it is not permissible for the neck to show.

The prophet (saw) said: if you see something wrong fix it with your hand, and if not with your hand with your words and if not with your words with your heart.

It is the duty of every muslim to remind one another of these things, i do not tell people for my own benefit, i tell them because i care about them.

  • @LoveforAllahx well good for you but the point is that on Saluff's page she's had more than one person point it out. Does she really need the same point made over and over again? Also, watch the tutorial again especially the 3rd one. You can't see her neck. Is everyone mistaking the underneath of her jaw for her neck? They are not the same thing! her tutorial has the scarf material wrapped around her neck. She is not making a show of her neck and her style is modest not overly elaborate.

  • @quietfi123; I was clearing up what Nabaah asked if you see my very first comment was to nabaah.

The prophet (saw) would tell people the same thing 3 times and then he would leave them, because it is up to them to change, it is the duty of every muslim to warn people.

I am not here to argue or to upset anyone, but i am not going to sugarcoat anything.

    Religion isnt a game.

And you can see her neck, if you look at the hadiths of what the face is you will understand much clearer in shaa Allaah

  • @LoveforAllahx I understand what you're saying (i'm aware of the hadiths) but I'll have to respectfully disagree that her scarf style shows her neck. She even shows how to pin the material to hide the neck in the 2nd style! But I guess we're seeing something different.

  • @quietfi123 thanks! yeah, police about everything. i've come to expect nitpicking on all my videos at this point lol. I can't ever be perfect enough. oh well. Thanks for your support!

  • @Saluff aaw, sis, you're so sweet mashallah. I enjoy ur tutes very much :)

  • @Nabaah3; Assalaamu alaykum warahmatullaahi wabaraktuh,

It is not permissible to show the neck, the neck is a part of the awrah (What must be covered).

If the neck is not covered the hijaab is incorrect.

  • Sister, pretty please tell me how to keep eyeliner on the waterline to last long. Please.... =)

I enjoyed the video and yes I agree with you. People should avoid calling everything Haram. It is only for God to judge. Instead of calling something outright Haram, I sugggest we pray that Allah s w.t guide us all to be better Muslims. I'A.

    Ermm...eyeliner. waterline. please :)

  • @Demand4Peace The best liners for waterlines are pencils. Its best to use a drier pencil over a creamy one because the softer pencils will rub right off. The two I like a lot are the Rimmel London Soft Kohl (which actually isn't all that soft) & the NYC ones (they're like $1!)

  • lol thats is why i wear my scarf like that so it can not only frame my face but hide the chub :P

  • @ValleyGurlFrmHell awww hahaha wuv you!

  • it is haram to show the neck, even if many many muslim women show their necks it doesnt mean it is correct! :) u are only allowed to show ur face and ur hands(from wrist to fingers only)

  • @withluvLiyana I realize that. I didn't say it was right. All I said was stop saying haram.

  • @Nabaah3 HARAM? That word should seriously be avoided. For one, many many muslim women show their necks. Second, I didn't show my neck, that's the reason I tied a scarf around it. But seriously, using the word haram when describing things that MAY be frowned upon needs to be avoided.

  • @Saluff; My dear sister in islaam, it is not permissible for the neck to show.

The neck is a part of the awrah, the verses in the Qur'aan and many hadiths support this.

Many women may show their necks sister, but we are to take from the good and leave the bad.

It is not permissible in any shape or form for the neck to show because then the headcovering is incorrect as one of the conditions of hijaab it to cover the awrah and the neck is a part of that.

  • @LoveforAllahx I realize that. I didn't say it was right. All I said was stop saying haram.

  • @Saluff; Alhamdulillaah sister, but it isnt permissible to show the neck. You are a beautiful sister masha'Allaah you should preserve your beauty for the one man, the man who fears Allaah, the one who knows his limits and the one who knows his deen :)

May Allaah grant you happiness and more knowledge in the deen, ameen.

  • @Saluff

    agree!! :)

  • @Saluff I couldn't agree more sister. I hope people are more careful with what they say.

  • woahh love the quality and cute style !

  • @jellybeansies thanks :)
