@MyCelticHeaven I agree! I preferred the quartet with Alan, Wayne, Merrill, and Jay. Mostly because my favorite was (and still is) Jay, so I liked it when he was the lead.

I was a big Donny fan in the day. I remember the day when my mother told me that Marie was making an album with her brother Donny. I have that 1974 album. I became a big fan of Donny and Marie. I also had an Osmond poster on my wall pre the Donny and Mare show.

Donny & Marie one of the biggest brother and sister musical acts on stage? What about Karen and Richard Carpenter who sold FAR more records than the Osmonds?

@lucycow He said 'ONE' of the most FAMOUS brother and sister acts. He didn't say THE most famous nor did he claim them the best selling. I imagine The Carpenrers did sell more than Donny & Marie but that doesn't mean they were not successful recording artists themselves, along with the whole family whether as a group, due or solo. Whether you're a fan or not, I don't think anyone can question the popularity and success the Osmond family and the Carpenters enjoyed, and still do.

I did not especially like the Donny and Marie show era.

I thought the Original Brothers were the best and always will be. No offense Donny and Marie fans.

The more I look at Merrill the more I see just how really Merrillicious he was and still is!

I am going to Reno NV this April 3rd to see them again! Road Trip!

@MyCelticHeaven I went to Shiloh in June 2009 and met Merrill (and Jay) for the first time and yes he really is totally delicious and in Oct this year I'm going to Vegas to see the brothers - hopefully I'll get to meet him again and maybe Wayne this time.

I was also fortunate to meet Merrill in June 2009 when he did an afternoon meet and greet in London. I managed to keep my cool and he was so sweet and very hands on. Those eyes are captivating too.. It's something I will remember forever :) He was and still is my most favourite of all.
