  • Great speech, what an hero!

  • Simon gagne !!!!!!!!!

  • Why didn't he thank Joe Sakic?

  • @beaudlite93 Did you even watch the part between 6:07 - 7:20?

  • @beaudlite93 He saved Joe Sakic to a seperate "just for Joe" thank you :P

  • ALWAYS BEATING THE RED WINGS!!!! #21 forever!

  • I'm proud to be from Sweden!

  • Next up for Froppa, his rightful place in the the Hockey Hall of Fame!!!

  • Have to like this and i am from Finland

The 1 disliker must be the Detroit fan showed in the clip!

  • Such a great player, such a great man , Peter Forsberg you will remain invincible for eternity in my memory !

Joe Sakic and Peter Forsberg had sooooo much complicity , that's really beautiful to see how strong friendship Hockey creates.

I loved the moment he said : " I could never have asked for a better teammate and friend , thank you joe ! "

And they show Sakic , if you look at his lips he's saying : " You're welcome , you're welcome my friend"

  • The Song when the banner is raised is 'The Birth and the Death of Day' by Explosions in the Sky....Cheers to Foppa!

  • Best player ever lived.

  • Yeah, i cryed when he said: number 21, Peter Forsberg, for the last time in Pepsi Center.

  • couldnt stop crying when i watched this, thanks peter your the reason i played

  • If i were Joe I wouuld just run out and hug peter , peter the great thank you<3

  • One true swedish hero! One of our greatest player of all time. Mr Tenacity - Peter Forsberg! All love!

  • Birth and Death of the Day did it for me - Explosions in the Sky really just made this that more epic - made me feel like a kid again - #21 in Col and then for my Flyers...good times

  • Crying like a woman.. love you peter!

  • The next Avalanche they need to raise to the rafters is number 52 Adam Foote

  • God damn i love hockey. Btw does anyone know the song they used when raising the banner?

  • @bahylols the band is called Explosions in the sky. Don't remember what the song is called, but it's probably from the new album. They're almost as good as Forsberg, almost...

  • Who on this f... earth disliked it? Misclick?

  • I was there. It was cool. However, seeing my Red Wings destroy the Avalanche afterward was cooler---especially after hearing Forsberg make that comment about the Red Wings.

  • @Crymson1 oh how cute a troll, how are you little guy?.....in all seriousness though since when is 3-0 destroying? one of the goals was an empty netter

  • @nevertweet015 I'm a troll? Did you miss the part where I was at the game? I'm a Red Wings fan.

The game was over by the end of the second period. The Red Wings put on a clinic. All of the obnoxious "Red Wings suck!" chants dissipated completely.

  • @Crymson1 ya a troll there was no need for you to place that comment on this video(a Forsberg tribute that mostly avalanche fans will watch) and the game was not over after the second Varly kept it close, the only reason you posted was to get a response and I guess I gave you one so congradulations

  • @nevertweet015 Umm. no.

  • @Crymson1 And ofc the unclassy redwings show up to make some comments about the game on a jearsy retirement video

  • The legend's jersey is raised to the rafters by the music of Explosions In The Sky man, I don't know what to say.....

  • Its been said many times, but imagine if he would have had a chance to play a full 20-season carrier, the stats he would have put up and all the amazing plays he would have put up..Anyways, this guy is my nr 1 inspiration in life, off the ice hes the sweetest most sincere guy, but on the ice..Well, just watch out. What a winner.

  • man, I can't help to cry. now he is officially a legend, and belongs to the hockey gods

  • kommer aldrig glömma forsberg <3 ingen annan har inspirerat mig mer tack

  • The final great of the 2001 team is now floating in the rafters

  • @TheHockeyfan9 what about hedjuk

  • @TheHockeyfan9

I would consider Milan Hejduk as a great. When he retires then the final great from that team is gone.

  • @TheHockeyfan9 Milan Hejduk?

  • Thanks for all the memories Peter. Kept crying throughout all these clips.
