I found the problem. If you have the older, fatter PS2, that Game Shark with the dark blue back isn't going to work in it, and you have to buy the more expensive one with the silver back instead.

When I bought my Dreamcast off eBay it came with a Gameshark Lite, and I've used it maybe twice. It makes me feel dirty, like I'm doing something wrong. yea stand your ps2 up it reads the disc better then when its done reading the disc just put ur ps2 back down it works for me all the time... hope it helps good luck
