  • The 3DO controller SUCKED for street fighter. There was a special controller but I never found one. That didn't stop me from playing this game to death... and I remember that akuma was hella hard on this game.

  • @VincentsVideoVisions Yeh, the controller sucked, but once you got used it it you could play it. Trying to go back to play it is a bit tedious. Akuma was VERY deadly. Deadlier than he is now. And MUCH faster. "Ya didn't see that coming." Cause yer dead by the time you do.

  • I bought one of those SNES-to-3DO controller adaptors to use my SNES stick, but was too laggy. Loved the slightly arranged BGM on 3DO version, fav was Blanka stage

  • @gawne1969 Same here, thanks for that, 'laggy' is the PERFECT word. I guess that is why I did not like it as it as not as responsive as the original m3DO controller.

  • I dont know if this was said, but dee jay style was caoperia...the same style as eddie...think he takes rhythm kickboxing...if this was already said my bad lol

  • @JayMasquerade It's cool, thanks!

  • how long is the load time in this game?

I know when it starts up, but was curious how it is after that?

  • Hmm.. No too long. You can see/hear that part in either 1/3 or 3/3 as there are three parts to this.

  • i think mike from street fighter was the first african american fighter

  • Thanks RasKazama, you are correct my friend. I need to update this video to state so. Thank you!

  • thought it was balrog myself, how could I forget that!

  • @TwighlightMist I thought they have to "Change" Mike and his jap. version name M.Bison because cough cough cough that boxer guy from the movie The Hangover was about to sued capcom for so call legal rights of his name. whoa Mike T..... I mean that boxer guy could have made tons of money from these games

  • @werd33386 True. Thanks for that!! Mike T would have cause a LOT of financial pains for Capcom. But then we probably would have MORE licensed REAL fighters.

  • I don't hear any ranting so it's kinda bitter sweet. On the one hand I like to hear people rant but on the other I like being able to watch the video without to much oppinionated yelling.

  • @gigagilgamesh9 I consider this a rant and it is not scripted, practiced just two people who love fighting games, preferably SF, MK, Killer Instinct and Tekken series. We're not too in the SNK games, like KoF, but we respect those games just as much. Their characters are FAR MORE detailed and more 'authentic'.

  • @warrengonline I mean I hate people who want to sit there and criticize the game wrong ya know? Not that you are...

  • Good times, never played 3DO but played super SF2 on genesis, good times man, good good times. Fei Long rocked.

  • Oh? No 3DO? I have Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition for Sega Genesis I need to play. Thank for the comment and keep on gaming.

  • Hey guys, forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Orchid was African-American. Her full name was "Black Orchid" in the game, but she is actually Jago's sister, the "Tibetan warrior monk" ninja.

  • Hmmm.. I think I will have to call RARE on that. No one has questioned it and in the past she has been recognized as such. I will check into it.

  • Yea in KI2, she is revealed as Jago's sister. And her name is "B. Orchid", full name "Black Orchid". I know that in some unofficial descriptions, she is labeled as a "black woman named Orchid". But when in fact, it is "Black Orchid", her given name.

  • I think the reason why SSF2T wasn't on the Genesis/SNES was because of space on the cart, SSF2 is already 5 MB in size, infact the Genesis is much bigger by a megabyte or so, since the 3DO used CD's they could easily do it on that system.

The 3DO version has some missing animations in characters backgrounds, but one plus for it was the cd-quality tracks the game has which have been on several other SF2 games.

  • Yeh, the CD's music was GREAT and the color palette back then (even now) is TRUELY AWESOME! Yeh, some animations are missing, but to play it at home - it was worth it. The 3DO controller was a bit limiting, but it was still fun.

  • Actually, the Akuma (i prefer Gouki, but nvm) that appears in this game is actually Shin Akuma, or the devil akuma wat u said. coz this one shoots 2 air fireballs.

  • Street Fighter IV is coming. Are you ready? Until then, get ready for Street Fighter HD Remix, not totally new, but from what I've seen, I have to saw "Wow!" (like Joey).

  • when does that come out again

  • Street Fighter HD Remix Beta comes out June 25 (you have to purchase Commando 3 to access it). As for the fill version I am unsure, possibly Sept 2008 for HD remix and the pre-orders for SFIV is for Feb 2009.

  • Mai's from Fatal Fury and later King of Fighters.

  • Thanks icetrey87, but check the screen at the timecode 8:21. But thanks. If any of you want to help review a game, please contact me via my profile.

  • Hmm... I need to see your clip.

  • how fast is this compared to street figher 2 turbo? with the drulyb code? i like it on 6 stars, u can see it on my video clip.

  • How can DeeJay be African American? lol

  • Jaimacan? Is that your point? Good one, let us get back to you on that.

  • yeh, also MIKE was black in Street Figher 1 in 1987, who is possibly Balrog "Mike Bison" with no boxing gloves. Mike is also the black guy being knocked out in the intro of street fighter 2, I found that out today lol

  • ojideagu, cool work dud. I never even wondered who the black or the blonde guy were. I just thought they were high school kids.

  • Playing 3DO Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Play Ken And Vega Player Rob Jones Sucks

  • This gme demands the capcom soldier pad, one of the controller greats really makes this one of the best home SF2 versions.

  • I still love it. Tournament-wise, no, I would not have such a competiton. Thanks for the comments.

  • Turbo never came out on the snes. The 3DO version has many missing animations, this version would never be used in a tournament because of that. Some combos are not doable comparing the 3DO version to the arcade version; but it does have a nicer soundtrack than the other versions. The PC version is probably the worst of all the SSF2T/X ports, but it had the best soundtrack.

  • yeah the 2D sprites sure look better then on Snes and Genesis.

But I wonder how the 5 pad button works on a 6 button game. I never owned a 3DO, but I've seen this system a while back when it came out.

  • Happrichter, is it on the 3DO system almost all the games look better and sound better. This a fully reprogrammed and designed game for the home systems. Excellent, ain't it?

  • never knew there was a version for this, looks a lot better than the other home versions especially snes and genesis

  • happyrichter, it is a very excellent in graphics and sound. The control is a little tight, but you can work with it. I will say, I like the 3DO (this version you are looking at) better than the version that was released on Xbox in Street Fighter Anniversay. Thanks for the comment.

  • That may be bc it never was on another home console - SSF2 is the last SF2 instalment on SNES and Genesis

  • TeamTekGuy true. Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo was never on a cartridge. Unless I am mistaken t eh SNES and Genesis got their version AFTER the 3DO system. You might want to check me on that.

  • Street Fighter Alpha 2 came out for the SNES in 1996, later than SSF2.
