  • this kind of commemoration of ashur is held in Karachi Pakistan by our sunni brothers. Lot of processions with whips, drum beating, wooden swords and taazia are on their way on 10th of muharram when shia processions areended.

  • i don belive shia of ali do dis kind of azadari for his son hussain

  • The so-called 'music' you guys mentioned that is played during muharram comemoration in iraq is simply the drum and trumpet, to represent the start of the war in a battle. In other words we are too part of that war.

The red flag on Imam Hussain's (as) dome follows the same arab war custom, that the war is still on.

  • well i dont think u have seen death rituals of wnglish people as they have piano played there as a sign of sadness

and yes music is of sadness as well

  • This looks like a yazidi procession

  • in india we have lots of music, I am from india and in most part of the india Mohram is done in similar mode.

  • This is not a Moharram scene. There is no music when its moharram, its not a festive enviroment. Moharram is a month of sorrow, dark cloths, no music. Its something else besides moharram, i guess ure mixing it up with something else.

  • where are u from bro?

    its very common in iraq

i think u have no idea of azadari

musiq is not the name of just happines , musiz is also played in sorrows

so please stop saying things whgich u dont know

  • where do you saw music playing in sorrow.. I thing you dont know that proverb."woe and weal is likw earth and sky" if you lost your dear one, would you like to play the music in front of the people who come to attend the death

  • come oput of ur country and see

u will see in iraq , iran and many parts of pakistan where they di aza or matam with drums and even with music

there is no harm in it

may be for u its not normal but for us it is

  • wow, mashallah
