  • amazing how there is almost no limit to how big of a meal a pike will go for.

  • I love this, you're all insanely mistaken.

  • thats not a bluegill thats a black crappie

  • thats a crappie

  • @TheMafiaStyler in "waht world life you?" Really? You write like that and you're questioning my life? HA!

  • haha this idiot dosent know his fishes

  • crappie bro

  • Crappie for sure!

  • def crappie

  • i see a crappie also but seeing as i dont have sacramento perch here and dont really know what they look it might be that

  • false title! its a crappie haha

  • Yup Its a crappie

  • might as well get into it with the rest of u. its a crappie

  • i get what u are doing but it is a crappie

  • Thanks for this Aqua view camera was it?Rename this Pike Eats Crappie

  • crappie vote for me

  • that was a crappie in its mouth not a bluegill

  • Wait a minute, at second glace it is a sacramento perch decause of the double back fins, the spot on the gill cover, and the vertical bars.

  • I'm not trying to be a smartass about this but I catch in excess of 2,000 black crappie a year and that is what you are looking at... damn!

  • That is, obviously, a black crappie.

  • Obviously...... you're the fishguru.....

  • 2 Vote for black crapie

  • awsome video

  • its probley one of the many hybrids that come from blugill strains and other panfish strains

  • Awesome :D

  • Could you tell me what you had recorded the video with because I have the Aqua-Vu DVR and it gets all fuzzy and lines go across the screen. Could you also tell me where you get it and how it's connected to you camera?

  • It was recorded on an Aqua-VU DVR. The lines go through on the camera, but it comes out clearly on your PC, or should anyway. You have to have a very full charge as well, as the DVR drains batteries quickly. Without a good charge, the DVR records very poorly.

As for the above post, no, it hit one that was looking at the jig, but it hadn't eaten...

  • I have no clue how to edit videos. I try to capture what I want to see for the duration I want the video set at. If I go out to capture video I'm constantly hitting record and stop....

  • duh thats not a bluegill...(kidding). Noce vid. Did the pike take one that you hooked?

  • bluegill dont have a dorsal fin like that...it was a crappie

  • you need to open a book and learn what is what

  • i saw a bluegill with parasites all over him. my lake is full of them, sadly. crappies don't have those stripes on em

  • oh sorry my mistake

  • oh ya and that is not a crappie

  • i hate it when they say blue gill why not just call it sunfish thats what its called

  • There are numerous types of sunfishes, and the bluegill is one of them. These were mostly bluegill, with a few pumpkinseed sunfish thrown in the mix.

  • its a blue gill not a crappie for the people who keep saying it is lol.

  • I agree that its a bluegill. At :05 seconds you clearly see the markings and shape of a bluegill.

  • it was a crappie

  • Okay, you guys are fish biologists I guess, and were there, so you would know better than I would. It's not like I saw the fish for 3 minutes on camera before the pike ate it or anything... Trust me, I'm on the water here in MN 200 days a year, it was a bluegill.

  • The fish in the pike's mouth was indeed a bluegill. Notice all of the neascus on it, typical of 'gills. The fish that ate the bait toward the end of the vid was a rock bass...

  • like lepomis1 said,

    its not a bluegill!

    one hundred percent Black Crappie.

  • no way, that was not spotting from a disease, it was spotted because it was a crappie, the whole shape and fin layout is crappie all the way, not bluegill

  • i agree.

  • pikes eyes are bigger than its stomach

  • It's not a bluegill, it's a crappie!

  • That bluegill was smart enough to skip the bait but still didn't get away.
