I remember watching the dub version all the time when I was little. I never knew the Sailor Scouts died in the first season until I went online and watched the Japanese version. Imagine my shock and utter grief when I watched my favorite character die by those evil askjdfl. I was crying like no other when I realized the rest of the Sailor Scouts died as well. Darn you dub version for hiding such important scenes from me.

What you dumb liberals call "censorship" is actually COMMON SENSE. In the US cartoons are meant for 8 year olds. 8 year olds do not and SHOULD not be exposed to the concept of death. They are too young for that.

They can but they don't. Parents are to dumb. That's unhealthy for kids. Therefore the government has to do SOMETHING. They can't just let parental neglect permit kids to watch stuff they shouldn't watch. The government HAD TO step in and make FCC regulations for appropriate content in kids shows in the US.

I want as much as you do to see it unedited on US TV, but it's not like the TV company wanted it that way. They are mearly obeying the LAW.

@ferodot Yeah, it's really nitpicking but that's one thing that could have been better in later seasons. Jupiter went from shooting lightning bolts to glowing leaves... Venus went from energy beams and chains to a single floating heart.

At least it wasn't all bad, Mars got flaming arrows and Mercury, well... at least they didn't make her go back to bubbles again.

Actually her lightning ALWAYS strikes that antenna on her head and then is fired outward at an opponent. She can't commit suicide with electricity because her power IS electricity. What actually kills her isn't clear in this. I think it is meant to be left open to the viewer to guess what is going on and in fact it might be more of a deep psychological Evangelion type scene. Maybe she dies because she wishes herself dead. Also it is NEVER explained where those ice crystals are from.

The silver crystal was the one that saved Usagi's life; it granted Usagi's wish of being a normal girl.... so reality was back to normal.... and the girls possibly don't remember about their powers.... or their deaths, or something....

Aside from Moon, I believe that Jupiter was the most powerful (makes sense with Jupiter being the biggest planet). (not counting sailor Saturn) However, another one that was really powerful was Uranus. In terms of offensive ability anyway.

@BBBGirl100 I agree, Jupiter is definitely the most powerful besides Moon. In Sailor Moon R, she killed an enemy by herself, and in the next episode Mars and Venus had to attack together to kill one.

In S she also killed one by herself... the only other that died without Sailor Moon's help was taken out by Uranus and Neptune's attacks, arriving seconds apart.

@BBBGirl100 But I think it's interesting how they all really bring equal value to the team. Venus has the most leadership ability and it makes sense for her to have that role, in fact I wish this could have been shown more often (the 4 fighting without Moon's help).

Mercury can come up with strategies and has situation-specific attacks (being able to freeze enemies or use fog), Mars can repel certain enemies, sense danger, and is probably the 2nd strongest fighter.

@bobdonda You are right,they all have some advantages comparing to the others.Though,I hate how animators were lazy so they made them all look weak in last season.Oak Evolution isn´t realy powerfull attack comparing to Thunder Dragon.Same thing with Venus.Poor Mercury got bubbles at beggining but still at the end,she got water cannon.Mars had pretty same and attacks trough all seasons.Though I love the fact that Mako-chan can beat enemy even when she is not transformed. :)
