Customers who are throttled because of roaming account for about 1% of users on Sprint and this is most definitely covered in Sprint’s fine print which says they can begin throttling customers who hit 300MB of “off-network” data. - Via: PhanDriod.
you don't see the 79.99/month because there isn't one! you have the 69.99/mo then they are charging you a $10 premium data charge for a smartphone (at the very bottom of the page). so they advertise it as 79.99/mo. i'm going to ask a lawyer if i can sue for false advertisment.
@ItsNowProductions yeah, i looked it over very carefully and those bastards have it covered from all angles haha. but i was wondering if you could still sue if you you only want the 69.99 unlimited plan and not for the premium. so why would i want to pay for a "premium" charge if it doesn't offer me anything different from the 69.99 plan right? there IS a hole that you can get them for it.
i dont understand why they say unlimited text data, and calling for ONLY 79.99 a month and then u go to the website and it says otherwise.... what liars
$79.99/mo. ?? I just went on the Sprint website and there is no $79.99 plan at all. And what the hell is up with the "3GB/unlimited" ? Is it 3GB or is it Unlimited? Just seems like all these carriers are full of crap at the end of the day, nothing is really "Unlimited" when it comes to data usage.
Sprint uses a network called WiMax which is owned my Clearwire. Sprint owns 51% (I may be wrong) of Clear, so Sprint uses their 4G network which is unlimited and their 3G nation wide plan which also unlimited (meaning you don't have that 5GB cap). It's that simple guys XD
I like how they had small text at the bottom that enforced what they said, but provides little tidbits of info for those who understand truely how much a Gig is. I love you Sprint! TRUE UNLIMITED FTW! Also incredible coverage which they don't push so much, but it rivals if not beats AT&T's especially their 4g coverage.
@freakylocz14 Yeah, that's not unlimited. If it truly was unlimited, you wouldn't have TMobile throttling your speed once you go over that 5 GB amount.
@apoco 5 GB is the same as Sprint as well as everybody's former unlimited plan. Every carrier has a fair usage cap. Unlimited usage doesn't mean unlimited at a certain speed. No one is cutting off your access to the web.
@apoco "Sprint reserves the right to limit throughput speeds or amount of data transferred and to deny, terminate, modify, or suspend service if usage exceeds 5GB per month in total or 300MB/month while off-network roaming."
i have verizon, and I'm disappointed to know that i can't go over 2gb now, but sprint is the slowest and worst coverage 4g network in america! at least I'm paying for crazy speeds and good coverage! even tmobile is better than sprint...
@PlayStation3MLB in some places.. trust me.. t-mobile is HORRENDOUS! In my opinion sprint is hindered by having spotty coverage.. in some areas is fantastic and othjer bleh
It's funny how Sprint is expanding their 4G network, but when you watch this clip, every phone on there was using Wi-Fi, instead of showing it on 4G. Maybe because their network is too bogged down.
Just by reading the comments sounds like Sprint customers are very happy with Sprint plans never heard good comments on at&t, Verizon, and T-mobile. I'm been happy with Sprint too! I love to watch youtube videos on my phone! :D
Can't Sprint get sued for this? Like how Verizon got sued by at&t for showing at&t's coverage maps.. idk im just wondering because if Sprint gets sued all 3 companies can make something happen .. im just wondering :o
Sprint coverage has been great for me in Orlando, Atlanta, San Diego, Seattle and all parts outside their perimeter. My bill never fluctuates as I am truly unlimited.
I really hate when I see other phone companies claim they are unlimited in their commercials. They are full of shit.
@Khaled2Xyon yeah for verizon and at&t you pay the same price as sprint and all you get is 5gb of data and on tmobile's commercial it wrote in small print you only git 2 gigabytes of full speed data
I like sprint, but for me its been expensive, the 3g coverage in my area sucks big time, where I work I have 4g and damn its fast like hell, I wish they work on coverage
Might be unlimited Sprint but 3G in my area has been horrible as of late. 1,000ms ping times lucky to get 100kbits some times. It's pretty bad. Sprint use 2 be the best network ever, I miss those days. My 4G always can't hold a signal to save it's life unless I'm directly under the wimax tower not moving. :-(
The data cap is 5GB but they do not charge you extra for going over that limit. That's why it is truly unlimited.

@freakylocz14 seriously? It 74.99 the last time I check it around 80.00. I did check like a month ago on their website

@freakylocz14 Sprint doesn't. They keep your speed as high as you can get, no overages, no throttling.
apoco 6 months ago
@apoco That's a lie. Read that fine print. There is a 5 GB throttle cap for 3G.
freakylocz14 6 months ago
@freakylocz14 And yet I constantly go over it, and don't have any slowdowns
