Same here. That was the one thing stopping from buying this amazingly, sleek, device. I didn't really want to push a button and look at the device EVERY SINGLE time I wanted to change volume. I can't wait for mine to arrive.

Can anyone tell me if the Zune software is as intrusive as the Ipod? I don't like hooking up these things to other ppls pc's and they start downloading everything instantly. I was told you could switch that off on Ipod but i havent found it.

It's so much better, very quick and streamlined. You aren't forced to download other software with it, and you don't get other software programs thrown in with updates. Everything that is absolutely relevant is in an update.

As long as you have a subsription w\ the zune software then you can listen to your music from anywhere you sign in w\o pluging anything in

I often keep the HD in my pocket, and it's very easy to change tracks and adjust the volume.
