The police can't just say some one complained so you have to turn it down. If they write you a ticket for it, they better have proof of how loud it was.

I'm all for copwatch, even as a law enforcement officer myself. My problem is that the same citizens who bitch about cops also want cops to enforce such codes (as loud music). Either such codes shouldn't exist, or they should and should be enforceable. It's that simple.

@jboss628 Specifically, what code were they breaking? Lots of towns/cities don't have sound ordinances so all they can do is ask you to turn the music down (during the day).
Before cops can cite you, they have to tell you what code you were breaking. If these cops were serious about their "visit" they would have got on the radio and asked.
These cops could be reprimanded for false imprisonment because the one came right out and said they were being detained.

@junkymagi well Broward county does have sound ordinances.You exceed the decibel levels,therefore you break a law.At 1:21 he states the reason.There is a different between "detainment" and "arresting".The camera man was interfering with a police investigation.Why would the officer "have got on the radio and asked.". They're informed by dispatch when taking the call.

Nobody was being forced to turn the cameras off. Abuse of his power would have been for him to arrest him for not putting down the camera, he was just asking him to put the thing down on a personal level. I would, too, because I don't feel comfortable with someone I don't know video taping me.
