  • I'm starting out in the armouring buisness and I must say your videos are really helpfull. Thank you.

  • your simply the best

  • je vous tire mon chapeau, vraiment du beau travail !!

  • dude!!! thats a bad ass armor right there!

  • i wonder if you can jerk off with that shit on...

  • This is something I have always admired, and also something I would love to get into. But I do not know where to begin. Any advice? You do great work keep the videos coming.

  • u hv a pairs of golden hands.and a perfect skill^^_^.can i ask what kind of metal u use? steel?

  • @redson1985

The video said 1mm mild steel, so I'm assuming he used 1mm mild steel.

  • you look like someone who's comfortable in heavy Armour

  • What is the black paint that you use for the inside of the armor?

  • man you make that look so easy. Love the videos! Keep em coming!

  • Wish to have a workshop just like yours... Awesome work. Best regards, Greg

  • this is high art. no wonder blacksmiths and artisans were spared when "barbarians" attacked villages and cities, right?

  • Beautiful work.

  • Vraiment beau travail. Pouvez-vous cre'er une version plus petite de ce gant? ( Avec Les vambrace long comme morceau ) Parlez-vous anglais?

  • Impressive

  • I wonder how they make sheet metal during medieval era?

  • sheets were either cast or hammered out of a single billet into the size/thickness desired.

  • Intersting, it makes sense. Thank you.

  • @deaftodd banging a big block of it flat with hammers

  • @knorneknight888 That's a lot of work and patience!

  • @deaftodd

    it can be

its actualy not that hard to make a 4inch thick chunk into a half inch thick chunk

its getting it all even thats hard

  • @knorneknight888 Yeah, you made your point. Perhaps, I can start out an inch chunck and see.

  • I'm amazed

  • unholy freakin real *S*

  • very good working

  • i can not belive men FUCKING REAL

  • That suit of armor looks magnificent!!

  • it takes alot of hard work but i bet its worth it in the end

  • Hello. What torch You use? Oxy-propane, or oxy-acetylene?

    I love Your videos. : )

    (sorry for my eng)

  • Oxy-propane

  • Probably just a regular propane torch. Pure O2 and propane or acetylene would vaporize steel, thats why they use it in cutting torches.

  • WOW C'est aussi dificile que sa mersi de m'avoir renseigné tres beau travail

  • Merci de nous faire entrer dans les coulisses de la fabrication de ces magnifiques pièces. Très beau travail !

  • how long would it take to make a set of armor? and what would a good thikness be 4 this type of black smithing?

  • if you are working all day, my guess would be few months. Of course it depends on kind of armor you want to make. The tihickness varies between 1 to 2 mm, depending on parts.

  • I really want to learn to work metal like this. medieval armor and forging fascinates me

  • yes, me too

  • The best place to start if you're serious about learning to make armour is "Techniques of Medieval Armour Reproduction: The 14th Century" by Brian Price. Copies turn up on Amazon and eBay from time to time, but get snapped up quickly, and usually for quite a price, and with good reason too!

  • wonder if you could torrent it

  • me toooo

  • Hey! What happened to video #11? I can't get enough of these!

  • Great work,who is music by? :)

  • If this is made out of mild steel can someone explain why it does not rust? I am having a hard time understanding this. Anything I make out of mild steel, especially if I do a grind finish or sand it, will have finger prints all over it and it will start rusting within days. I would really like to know what the deal is here.

  • Well, maybe he cleans all the metal before he starts recording?

  • bon travail sgt!

  • it's all made in China these days!

    or is it ballbearings?

    i'm confused :))

  • What an magnificent and under-appreciated skill.

  • is $2500 to much for that exact piece? just kidding, that would so awesome to have!

  • Awesome!

  • That tool for punching holes... shh what a lifesaver. Drilling trough a heated steel plate really kills drillbits. Nice stuff. The band saw as well. One can go crazy with small dremel cutting discs.

Great job. It must feel fantastic once you completed it, left you hungry for more.

    Regards,

    Hamlet

  • Thank you so much for these videos! I'm just getting into armouring and without someone to work with, it can be difficult to figure out how to perform some of the techniques I read about. Being able to see the process mostly from start to finish is a tremendous help.

Once again, I can't thank you enough for these videos.

  • bonjour de france bravo pour cette maitrise de la tole.merci de t'etre donner la peine de tourner ces petites videos en musique

  • How much would a full suit cost? Just for future reference like.

  • A full suit of armor might cost around 4000 dollars, but it depends on where you buy it.

  • thanx PiratesCompany. good to know

  • been watching a lot of your videos. you have a cool talent. Awesome work plz keep vids coming

  • SgtViktor i have a question, you made two gauntlets one made out of 1 piece and the other gauntlet made out of two pieces and I dont mean the finger peaces, now my question is which of those two gauntlet are stronger? protects more?

  • I'm pretty sure the one with more pieces is the right hand. Reason? More flexibility. You can't swing a sword in something you can't maneuver your hand in. left has less flexibility likely for 2 reasons: 1. You don't need to waste material on a shield arm that wont be used as much. 2. Because when you have a shield you don't need to use your hand as much as your arm and wrist.

  • And about them being stronger, I think they're the same or pretty close. Same steel thickness. BUT! The one piece one would take a harder hit without hurting your hand.

  • hey its alex and would you be selling any of your pieces?

  • Yes i would.

  • @SgtViktor what would be the cost of these pieces?

  • hey eric! this is alex again! Amazing work!!! i wish i had your talent! i sent you another email i have some information on, thanks!

  • your awsome, looking at your shope makes my mouth water ^^

  • P.S. how did you get to this point? is that your shop? is this your job or do you do somthing else? I would give my firt born to have a fully equiped work shop...How long have you been making armor, and if you dont mind how old are you?

  • hy! eric, you're a great armourer! this job is fantastic! i like youre raising process! in future do you show to how make greaves with medieval process? it will be fantastic... and the pauldrons! can you show somthing?

  • Tremendous job, Eric! I am still amazed to see the harness fully completed after seeing the short clips and photos come in month by month. I would recommend you to anyone desiring a Medieval harness reproduction. Feel free to use any of my photos or link to my galleries to advertise your work.
