There is no such thing as "humanely slaughtered". Thats a contradiction, an excuse given by butchers. The very term "slaughter" means brutal and means youre gonna grab a cleaver and chop it into pieces. The term "humane" is the exact opposite. You cannot slaughter something humanely. You can only kill it fast.
The term "humanely slaughtered" is an excuse given by people working in the meat industry. The only time animal is treated humanely, is if it is not slaughtered at all.
@baldwalrus43 My personal thought on it is that too many people who eat meat don't think of what goes into getting that meat. I think they should really understand where it comes from and take responsibility for that.
So what if some "superior" life form decides they want to eat him? Don't get me wrong, I am very happy that Jaimie is keen on being as honest and respectful to the animal as possible (without letting them live)............but yeah......all this just seems like all the more reason to go vegan. I just don't think anyone should judge whose life has meaning and whose can be dinner. I realize this is unrealistic so if nothing else, for the love of god go free range.

Speaking as a meat-eater, I think everyone who eats meat should slaughter the animal at least once.

@melissagalianos if some greater being wants to harvest us, people shouldn't be shocked. We are harvesting nature. It isn't that shocking.
