  • does anyone know if this would be faster than xp on a 6 year old laptop [not netbook]

  • @brian9827 most likely because jolicloud is less CPU and GPu intensive

  • Is it compatible with a built-in-wifi adapter?

  • @jebug29 Most likely. I've been using it lately, and I think it's compatible with all Ubuntu-compatible hardware.

  • @K3fka7317 k thanks

  • @jebug29 yes in most cases

  • Can this be installed on a macbook 2? Thanks... xx

  • i still dont understand what it is, but it looks nice.

  • @SamDylanS7 its an OS.

  • very cool

  • Elo Jestem z Polski Dzisiaj Go Zainstaluje Na MOjego Netbooka ;) 7" Zobaczymy Jak Będzie Się Sprawował Pozdrawiam Żal Mi Systemu Android Którego obecnie mam :PP

  • I need my geek fix and what's better than a girl doing really informative reviews? One thing though, keep them coming as regularly as possible. Subbed.

  • Jolicloud fucked up my computer horribly. It is supposed to dual boot with windows, but rather it erased my MBR and set GRUB up so Jolicloud was the only boot option, and I could not get back to windows. I ended up hooking the drive up to another machine, pulling off my data, and wiping the drive and reinstalling windows. This is something that happens with alpha, and maybe beta quality software, but never with a 1.0.

  • Dang, I wish this was around when I first got my Eee901. I guess I can still try it out.

  • Looks nice but I would prefer ubuntu Lucid to this :D

  • Linux owns. I predict this is where the distro Chrome OS will be going w/ combination of web + local applications.

  • is there any way to use both windows 7 and jolicloud on the same computer?

i dont want to overwrite windows 7 :(

  • @MrHowTuber

    I have windows 7 and jolicloud :D

You can choose that option on their homepage :)

  • Ease up on the use of the word 'like' it makes you sound like an idiot. If Jolicloud runs better than Windows on your netbook, you must have a bit of a shitty underpowered netbook, so I suppose Jolicloud is the better choice for you.

  • I've been wanting a nice little netbook for a while now, this is just icing on the cake! great video Candice. :D

  • i have it on my acer aspire one its so cool, way better than windows

  • @ItsMeRobin10 Yeah, right. Win98 maybe!

  • @LurkingCrassZero windows is slow and disgusting why would i want that

  • @ItsMeRobin10 Disgusting? Not sure how that applies to Windows!? lol

Windows 7 is not slow. It was voted BEST netbook OS on Lifehacker. Jolicloud was rated fairly decently also, but well below the number of votes Win 7 recieved.

Jolicloud is OK, but don't kid yourself it can truly compare to Windows 7. It doesn't take advantage of all the hardware in your netbook, Win 7 does.

  • @LurkingCrassZero its not like i use my netbook to like do heavy stuff, all i do is go on the internet with it. and windows fails on that, it was actually slower to browse on teh internetz on windows than jolicloud.

  • is this on your ipad or computer

  • @thomasmovesinc computer

  • is it possible to get viruses on this thing?????

  • Crazy to think, that everything that is on the homescreen on jolicloud is apps that I actually use all the time, apart from a few. This actually makes sense on a netbook!

  • So If I install this on my netbook I can choose to either boot windows or jolicloud?

  • dam. Jolicloud looks way better then any other os on other netbooks

  • Looks great! <3

  • Looks Great! What Netbook were you using?

  • @MacBoiJack Probably Acer Aspire One...

  • i can't login. it keeps saying the username or password is incorrect and i know 100% that what i filled in was right.. can anyone help?

  • Will this work on regular laptops?

  • @gcarrillo0210 Yeah will work on any machine.

  • @gcarrillo0210 YES!

  • its kinda like an iphone but not crappy

  • i love your voice ! so sexy

  • Candice. Made. A Video.

    What?!?!

  • Hey Candice, how much space does the OS take up?

  • @Pralz912 It takes up about 5 to 10 GB.

  • @Pralz912 you can choose. I think it takes as little as four gigs and up

  • Nice video cannddiicceee. Lol!

  • so i can install this on my pc and on my netbook ------> if i install this software will it delete anything from window -------> is it safe

  • @theman7431 Make a partitian on your hard drive for it so you can choose to boot into this or Windows. Before you begin though look for a guide on how to restore the "Master Boot Record" or MBR for Windows if you decide to delete it or Windows won't boot properly.

  • Nice video. I hate my netbook. My iPad is all I need =]

This OS looks cool btw :D

  • Excellent concept, looking great!

  • im using it right now

  • Cool! I use to have JoliCloud on my netbook, but I wasn't a big fan. so I went back to Xp...

  • Looks like a promising OS!

  • very cool os. nice review. check out my youtube.
