Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which has electronic music inspired by great games such as the Castlevania series. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!
@prohpetsong To be honest, the PC Engine its way to much better than the SNES, ´cause it has better graphis, cinematic display, also da music its some much awesome than da SNES counterpart, and also de controller responde way to long better
I find it interesting that this Castlevania leaned a bit more to pop music than most other ones. Of course, it still had the badass rock tracks it always had, but I found the pop added variety and it was still done in kinda the same style as the rock: upbeat, tight, and powerful.
This stage is a pain two diffirent routes to take but no boss and im still on 92% on my file beat dracula resuced all the girls but i be it with maria i wonder if i have to be it will richter to count. love this theme i wish they would make a few remixes to it
@MafiaMansion Castlevania always had real slick music, including the ones from the ol' skool Castlevania games from other systems. But this music is hot!!
Everyone who stated that the correct title is "slash" is wrong. This is in fact Op. 13. There was a mistake in the first release of the OST. Also, in the in-game sound test, this song is titled Op. 13.
Wow...He's acutally right! I played the actual game of Castlevania: Dracula X Rondo of Blood, I went to the sound test option and guess what? This song I was hearing really WAS "Opus 13" after all! O_O
This is a very catchy beat... But then again they all are. This is like the lost gem of all underlistened CV songs. Mostly because of that Judgement name goof up.
Opus 13 is in Judgement and they are calling it Slash. Maybe they mis-named them in the first place, or just messed up. whatever the case the error lies with Konami, and this was Slash before it was Opus 13 and vice versa.
So sonic the hedgehog it hurts...

Sounds more like a funky end-credits song

that was really shitty hard level
music gives jumping skelleteons weird feeling

The music that plays on stage 5' aka the cluster fuck level.
raysmashbrawl176 1 month ago
I don't get why such a bouncy tune was chosen for a lonely dock stage. It's a great song, just doesn't fit the level.
SIFAssassin 2 months ago
this seems too upbeat for a dracula game
but its gr8 anyways :D

If Dracula owned a super market, I could picture this music being played over the speakers.
Buzda 2 months ago
This same music was also used when you put it in a lower version of the PC-Engine CD (forgot the actual name, sorry)

Anyone have any idea what drum machine or sampler was used for the percussion?

6sodom6boy6 6 months ago
@6sodom6boy6 but this song is 9th track in the OST
eriol33 6 months ago
@eriol33 yeah. is the 9th track in the ost. but was probably the 13th track composed by michiru yamane for this game.
6sodom6boy6 6 months ago
@6sodom6boy6 Michiru Yamane had nothing to do with this game.

I want to bet Opus 13 is reference of pathetique sonata.

I dunno what the hell Opus 13 means, but I love the sound of it.
SkyFeline 8 months ago 3
@SkyFeline
aparently, "opus" is defined as a way of arranging or identifying music in an orderly
fashion.

I swear that cover looks like Richter is flicking us off.

Hell, if this is 90's "pop", than i'd take it over today's pop music (black eyed peas, katy perry) ANY DAY

I got 100% playing as Maria, so I don't think that's it. I think you just have to beat both paths on each stage.

This track definitely sounds like it was inspired by Michael Jackson's style of pop music. I can imagine this being on either Bad or Dangerous.

IMO, the best track of all the Rondo of Blood soundtrack.
And yes, it's called "Opus 13 (Op.13)" on the PC Engine CD, and "Slash" on the SNES, I don't know why XD

i love the beginning!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if this is slash or opus 13, but the quality in youtube is inferior to pc engine in this soundtrack.
