  • So sonic the hedgehog it hurts...

  • Sounds more like a funky end-credits song

  • that was really shitty hard level

music gives jumping skelleteons weird feeling

  • The music that plays on stage 5' aka the cluster fuck level.

  • I don't get why such a bouncy tune was chosen for a lonely dock stage. It's a great song, just doesn't fit the level.

  • this seems too upbeat for a dracula game

    but its gr8 anyways :D

  • If Dracula owned a super market, I could picture this music being played over the speakers.

  • This same music was also used when you put it in a lower version of the PC-Engine CD (forgot the actual name, sorry)

  • Anyone have any idea what drum machine or sampler was used for the percussion?

  • great soundtrack by the way........

  • do you know HOW FUCKING RARE THIS soundtrack is??????

It has got tob worth at least $100!!!!(uswed)

  • opus from latín. means piece (musically)

    basically means track Nº 13

  • @6sodom6boy6 but this song is 9th track in the OST

  • @eriol33 yeah. is the 9th track in the ost. but was probably the 13th track composed by michiru yamane for this game.

  • @6sodom6boy6 Michiru Yamane had nothing to do with this game.

  • I want to bet Opus 13 is reference of pathetique sonata.

  • I dunno what the hell Opus 13 means, but I love the sound of it.

  • @SkyFeline

aparently, "opus" is defined as a way of arranging or identifying music in an orderly

    fashion.

  • I swear that cover looks like Richter is flicking us off.

  • Akumajo Dracula Peke X! Yay for crappy error screens!

  • Hell, if this is 90's "pop", than i'd take it over today's pop music (black eyed peas, katy perry) ANY DAY

  • @prohpetsong BLASHPHEMY! :P

  • @prohpetsong To be honest, the PC Engine its way to much better than the SNES, ´cause it has better graphis, cinematic display, also da music its some much awesome than da SNES counterpart, and also de controller responde way to long better

  • @Cesh I meant the SNES version of the song, not the game.

  • @Cesh I meant the SNES version of this song only.

  • @prohpetsong me too, if only it was better quality.

  • @prohpetsong DIE MONSTER! YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS WORLD!

    Just kidding around dude! LOL.

  • my favorite song

  • The 80's and 90's are decades I miss with a passion! ;____; So beautiful and awesome at the same time!

  • I love this one! Just beat the game 100% for the first time and it's not only my favourite Castlevania but one of my favourite games period.

  • french belmont of bel air XD

  • This is nowhere as good as the hard rock remix from this song.

  • @jirikivaari your right. its that better

  • You know, this song really fits more in a stage based around a Treasury or Dance Hall.

  • Listening to this always made me think there should be skeleton's dancing in the background

  • When you hear this your just like, "Fuck man...the 90s."

  • I find it interesting that this Castlevania leaned a bit more to pop music than most other ones. Of course, it still had the badass rock tracks it always had, but I found the pop added variety and it was still done in kinda the same style as the rock: upbeat, tight, and powerful.

    Oh, and @TeaselBonne2...

    Sweet name. ;D

  • Hmm, there used to be a very nice remix of this Song and other Rond of Blood but I can't remember where I found it years ago.

  • This stage is a pain two diffirent routes to take but no boss and im still on 92% on my file beat dracula resuced all the girls but i be it with maria i wonder if i have to be it will richter to count. love this theme i wish they would make a few remixes to it

  • @mariomasterdustin

I got 100% playing as Maria, so I don't think that's it. I think you just have to beat both paths on each stage.

  • Richter's in Vegas! XD

  • i like this way more better then the snes version.

when you hear the snes version you think it,s good till you hear this version,it blows it away.

  • i like the snes version better

  • much better than the snes one

  • This track definitely sounds like it was inspired by Michael Jackson's style of pop music. I can imagine this being on either Bad or Dangerous.

  • Sounds just like Sonic

  • @MafiaMansion Castlevania always had real slick music, including the ones from the ol' skool Castlevania games from other systems. But this music is hot!!

  • I think of "Rico Suave" every time I hear this. XD

  • Why do I think of Rick Rolling when I hear this?

  • More like Richter Roll!

  • IMO, the best track of all the Rondo of Blood soundtrack.

And yes, it's called "Opus 13 (Op.13)" on the PC Engine CD, and "Slash" on the SNES, I don't know why XD

  • i love the beginning!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't know if this is slash or opus 13, but the quality in youtube is inferior to pc engine in this soundtrack.

  • yeah, iI just fixed that on my personal listing.. I'm gong to search for the remake now..

  • This games soundtrack kicks so much ass!

  • This must be Slash as the same tune on Dracula X:Vampire's Kiss on the SNES.

  • @Markell1991

(Jesus, people, it wasn't worth thumbs-down)

This song was incorrectly titled "Slash" in "Vampire's Kiss"

  • Everyone who stated that the correct title is "slash" is wrong. This is in fact Op. 13. There was a mistake in the first release of the OST. Also, in the in-game sound test, this song is titled Op. 13.

    One of my favorites.

  • Is this REALLY Opus 13?! =O There must be a mistake or something....

  • Nope. It's opus 13.

  • NO!...it can't be...I downloaded the song online on vgmuseum's page of the album and the track that I listen HERE was titled: "Slash".

  • Well they probably got it wrong.

  • Wow...He's acutally right! I played the actual game of Castlevania: Dracula X Rondo of Blood, I went to the sound test option and guess what? This song I was hearing really WAS "Opus 13" after all! O_O

  • Ah! Party Music!! BTW This is the music titled: "SLASH"...Not Opus 13....

  • This is a very catchy beat... But then again they all are. This is like the lost gem of all underlistened CV songs. Mostly because of that Judgement name goof up.

  • Alright, I´ll fix it.

    Thanks.

  • MISTAKE IT IS OPUS 13 SLASH IS REALLY ON STAGE 4B sorry for caps

  • IT IS SLASH NOT OPUS 13

  • GREAT theme, my favorite from the game.

  • This is Opus 13, not Slash.

  • Incorrect. I don't blame you, however, as Chi no Rondo named (in error) this song "Opus 13".

  • Opus 13 is in Judgement and they are calling it Slash. Maybe they mis-named them in the first place, or just messed up. whatever the case the error lies with Konami, and this was Slash before it was Opus 13 and vice versa.

  • where can i download this awesome soundtrack
