I find it to be sad that the Ents never found their Ent-Wives. I hope that eventually the Ent-Wives will find their ways back to their husbands. The Ents seem so unhappy without them.
The Ents are one of my fave charactors in the whole story along with the hobbits If only man could live in peace with the trees and not destroy them everyday :(. It makes me so sad... We need Ents in real life to protect the forests! I'd love to meet an Ent!
@werewolfFAN28 If I may paraphrase Thorin Oakenshield...If more of us were like the Hobbits, valuing good food, cheer, and the warmth of our hearths and families over gold and power...this would be a much happier world.
The Entwives moved into the brown lands where they tended magnificent gardens.
When Sauron arose in the second age he burned those lands reducing them to desserts.
What happened to the Entwives after that the Ents doesn´t know however it is hinted or rumored that perhaps they escaped into the shire, since Sam mentions that his cousin once saw a walking tree.
Later Treebeard says that the Shire indeed sound like a place the entwives might like.
Beautiful

Beautiful interpretation. I esp love the way you use the pictures to show the entwives' departure. So sad and beautiful.

@ Zelithe, this is ents we're talking about, the tree herders from lord of the rings that spoke EXTREMELY slow. therefore the pace must be slow.
Galgamemnon 2 years ago
yeah and this is meant to be sad so its supposed to be slow
