King I was killed by Ogre before Tekken 3 so one of the kids from his orphanage took up the mantle of King. Armour King I was killed by Craig Marduk before Tekken 4. Tekken 6 reveals who the new Armour King is.

The King in tekken 1 & 2 was killed by Ogre before tekken 3 so one of the kids from his orphanage stepped up and took over from 3 onwards. armour King from 1-3 was killed by Craig Marduk before Tekken 4 and was replace from Dark Resurrection onwards.

the thing is i played the tekken series from the beginning and thought that the jaguar masks was the kings real heads and that they were half man half beast, but then found out they were just masks BUT how the fuck do they roar and growl like a real jaguar if they are just masks? not even namco have the answer to that?

The jaguar masks are both held by the tribe that armor king belongs to currently...Though I've never heard the story of how wearers of the masks are chosen...I'd like to think that they choose the two best from the tribe and give them the masks, and then those two have to duke it out to determine the master of the tribe...But thats just speculation on my part, and I don't know why the oringinal King seems to have defected from the tribe...I imagine it had something to do with the orphanage.

Oh and some more info...The first armor king already had a terminal illness and was supposed to stop fighting, but never did...So that compounded with the beating he took from marduc resulted in his death...In his ending from tekken 2 armor king nearly passes out in his locker room and a few drops of blood fall to the floor before he walks out towards the cheering crowd.

King and Armour King are rivals in Tekken 1 and friendly rivals in T2. King is killed by Ogre before T3 and a kid from King's orphangae takes up the mantle and it trained by Armour. armour is supposedly killed in a bar brawl by Craig Marduk beofre T4. King gets him out of jail and into the fourth tournament. He beats Marduk and they have a rematch in T5. After the match, Marduck is attacked by Armour King. King and Marduk team up to find out who this Armour King is in T6.

Kign took out Armour's eye so armour pursued him to settle the score. They became friends and Armour saved King from depression after one of the kids at his orphanage died. After Ogre killed King, one of the kids became the new King and Armour trained him to truly take up the original's mantle.

Allegedly; we only see King standing at a grave in his T4 prologue. Since he wears a mask, he's either the original after surviving or someone new. It's unlikely the same one since they'd know if he was dead or not before burying him. It could be another student, someone else taking up the mantle (like King II) or someone new. Could be Christie's grandad. Or Zasalamel for the Soul series.

In Tekken 3, they removed Armour King so King's second costume had him wearing Armour's mask. In Tekken Tag Tournament, the characters used their most recent costumes so King had the Armour King mask as his second costume.

I think it'd be cool if it was Zasalamel from the Soul series. Both have dark skin, both have different left eyes (Armour King's is red and Zasalamel's is gold) and Zasalamel's ending in Soul Calibur IV could be an indication. This would add another link between the two series. Zasalamel would proably still have his powers and he might have reason like saving the world from Jin and Kazuya.

Basically, King's prologue in Tekken 4 says that Armour King was murdered by Craig Marduk. You can see King at Armour King's grave and Marduk does time. Armour King returned in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection but acts different so it's most likely a different person. King and Marduk are working together to find out who this Armour King is in Tekken 6. It'd be funny if it was Zasalamel from the Soul series.
