  • nice!...good to hear "les poules huppees" at what I assume was more like the original tempo, before Sola got ahold of it...now if only someone would post a version of it on the hurdy-gurdy!

  • This is not Breton anyway.

The first tune is called "coccinelle" and was composed by Jean Blanchard on the french bagpipes. At first it was a 3 times bourrée, as well as "les poules huppées", composed by Gilles Chabenat.

Traditions are in perpetuel movement as i can see! good!

  • The 2nd tune is on Kevin Burke's Open House CD and it's in a set called "Bourees".

  • I love Les Poules Huppes.

  • Les Poules Huppes - I read somewhere the name of the composer of this tune and would like to contact him, but don't know how. Can you help?

I love French Canadian music in general and your playing of these two tunes is great! Keep up the good music!!

  • "Les poules huppées" was composed by Gilles Chabenat, a french Hurdy Gurdy player.
