ugh..how did we go "from this to that"? We didn't!!!..we only share a common ancestor with chimps...no wonder the general public doesn't understand evolutionary theory...the presentation of scientific knowledge to the community at large needs to be done in a way that will a.) cater to the public's needs (answering their questions, despite that in the minds of many scientists the answers should be self-explanatory) b.) be sufficiently detailed so as to ensure understanding...
