I noticed something curious about their Staff fighting style . I`ve seen it ,or something almost identical in India . There they call it " Lati Kela " - (pronounced Late` -meaning Staff ). Interesting , though . Thanks for posting !
Well done Antonio Graceffo for trying to help these good people and bring attention to the Shans plight in Burma. I love the Shan people and hope everything goes well for them and that they prosper.
Their "Yan" tattoos have the same concept as Cambodia's Yantra tattoos that protect our warriors.
I love what you're doing, documenting the struggles of Shan State and the ongoing conflict in Burma because not a lot of us Americans know what is happening in Burma.
Wow this is hardcore, the fight for culture that is very hardcore, if only US would support them. This guys are downright movie traditional.

The Shan are related to the Thai (in Thailand) by culture and language. Especially the northern Thai Lanna and Laos people.

yeah i did a story on the boxer tattoos in cambodia and this was pretty similar. its most of the region though, also thailand and i would assume loa.
