  • I'm happy Manual didn't punch out the Mom cause you know what would have happened.....

  • 7/31/2011 another awesome movie and how may I say thank you? I am blessed to be in such awesome company and viewing Catherine Cookson's, The Glass Virgin.

  • Amy has turned out quite convienient hasn't she? Imagine the story without her...

  • @Unlimted199

If you like this the I advise you to watch the cinder path

  • I really enjoyed this film. Thank you so much for uploading this!

  • this story was a delight. thank you for uploading it. :-)

i couldn't help, though, but be reminded of CC and her husband. i have a feeling that Annabella and Manuel's story came from this source of devotion. <3

  • Thank you greaylady for uploading this movie! I see my husband in many of CC's leading men. Makes me fall in love with him all over again! Ten years and he still makes my heart beat faster when he walks into the room! Hang in there ladies!! Real men do exist! :0)

  • My darling, my dearie, my beauty, my love. aah,It's about time!

  • Amy is so darn useful.

  • @ TheBlueeyedblonde, your wrong these handsome, chivalrous strapping men did and in deed do exist....if you don't believe me just take a walk into any Gay Bar across the world. The reason you can't find these wonderful men is because.......they all have boyfriends!!

  • @charlieboyzname You're*

    True dat!!

  • Most of these wonderful, deep, loyal, chivalrous men were written by female authors. Real men like this have never existed. Not 150 years ago, and certainly not today.

  • Ahh yes... Just as lovely the first time I watched it. :') My heart was in my throat so many times...

Thank you so much for uploading!

  • Brendon Cole is great!! Thanks for sucha romantic movie.

  • I think this one became one of my absolute favorites! :) ... And I knew I saw the man playing Manuel in another movie... It was North&South :)

  • Well they didn't call her mother the "Glass Virgin" for nothing.

  • Thank you very much for this movie. I enjoyed it ! The only thing I REALLY did not like the actress playing Annabella, she is so.... ( how should I put this) NOT- PRETTY- AT- ALL . Kind of ruined the movie for me.

  • I'd have loved to have seen them actually in the glass factory at the end with her pregnant or with children... :(

  • Thank you so much for posting this film! Emily Mortimer was absolutely lovely in it and the rest of the cast was equally convincing! What is the name of the actress who played Annabella's mother? I found her performance very impressing.

Oh, I just love British period drama! I just can't get enough of it!

  • thanks for uploading

  • Be still my beating heart. And it couldn't have ended any better. Awwww. MMMMM Warm fuzzies.

  • Thank you GreayLady! I enjoy it.

  • Definitely one of my favorite Catherine Cookson's story's and a wonderful movie, great actors!

  • Thank you for posting this beautiful movie!!!

  • Thanks for posting this movie. It was a surprisingly good movie.

  • i love this movie, such a wonderful and simple ending.

  • mama will change her mind once the grandbabies come.

  • What a wunderfull movie!!!

  • When you let go of certain ideals, love finds you. "Prince charming" doesn't have to be 6 4' and rich. Look at manuel, working class and living in a caravan.

  • Oh yeah!

  • nice sentiment!

by the way, look up look up vardos or youtube

or google, a lot of those gypsy caravans were GORGEOUS! even now a top of the line fully restored vardos can go up to 100,000!

this was a great little movie, an "epic" love story, i had never heard of the book or the movie until i clicked on from the "duel of hearts" movie. this was far more substantial.

  • @oreo2725 I'd love to live in a caravan.

  • @oreo2725 True. A lot of people have set up "ideal" and standards. Usually these standards are the standards set up by everyone else.

  • Thank you very much for posting!!!

  • WOW! This gave me chills....their love is so precious!

  • Thank you so much for posting this movie. I love all the Catherine Cookson movies and books. I thought I would not be able to see them again. Thank you.

  • I wish I could find someone to love me like that!

  • good luck. I'm already 28 and have never been in love. I'm beginning to think that love is an invention of some romantic authors and the movie industry...

  • @Spikesfeet

love doesnt just happen like it does in movies but this is more close to the truth because they build the love they have. Which is what happens in real life

  • Please don't surrender. I'm 32 and in the same state like you but I do believe that I'll meet love one fine day. Maybe I've seen to many Jane Austen /Elisabeth Gaskell movies. But I know that it'll find me and I 'll find it. So hang on. It will be worth it.

  • @missfl70 You know, it's not enough if HE loves you like that... giving all his heart to you... if YOU can't return his love... Then all is in vain...At least in this contemporary time...

  • Ohh, what a beautiful movie. Thanks for posting.

  • Thank you for posting the movie. It was beautifull.

  • Oh thank you for uploading this movie. How sweet it was. It was like Cinderella...only backwards. LOL But true love prevails.

  • If you check my playlist's you'll see that almost all of them are CC movie's. I think I've put up most of her collection but one which is still comming.

  • It's like the longest wedding night ever!

  • Thats how they should be

  • Yay! Great ending! :D

  • This is one of my favorites! Had to watch this again to renew my belief in happy endings after watching 'The Gambling Man'. Will go through the looking-glass and watch the rest of the Catherine Cookson collection here on YouTube. Thank you, GreayLady, for uploading these gems. Sending my happy thoughts through the looking glass.
