They don't just make things up; if something is asserted as a theory, you can almost be guaranteed that hundreds of people tried REALLY hard to disprove it, but couldn't.
As time goes on, technology usually gets better and some theories have to be revised due to new findings. Even gravity has been revised several times. On the other hand, religion is static.

In science a paper can't be published unless three people within the field the paper is written on can duplicate the findings therefore all scenes is verified or it will not be publish. Faith is belief without evidence. Science is based on evidence and observation. As thespurginator stated, scientists repeat each others' works to verify it, and science is open and subject to change.
And I did a bit of research [I googled it ;D] and the spinal cord doesn't regenerate itself over time. Enzymes are manipulated [thanks to science :D], which allows the nerve cells in the spinal cord to regenerate. If left alone, however, it would not regenerate, no matter how long you wait.

Scientists don't use faith. They look at patterns of evidence, and use that to come up with a conclusion. Just like when you go into a tall building, you don't have faith that the building won't fall down, you have the 'evidence' that the other buildings you were in didn't fall down, and you don't often hear about skyscrapers just falling down. An atheist does not have to believe in science either to be atheist, but many do because science has proven itself time and time again. Scientific theories can be tested, and they are time and time again. Claims that God is alpowerfull/timeless and such are impossible to know. I cannot disprove that there are invisible aliens on Mars, but that does not prove they exist. I cannot disprove God Either, but as with the aliens that does not prove him either.

Researchers and the works they produce are verifiable, it's not practical but still possible. This chain of authority is, as you pointed out, there to save time and energy. We 'trust' specialists, and the people who peer-review them.
This is not the same as having faith in private revelations which produce scripture. The Bible can't be verified at all.

In science a paper can't be published unless three people within the field the paper is written on can duplicate the findings therefore all scenes is verified or it will not be publish. Even after it is published people will continue to work on things expand on things and redo experiments of study. Even if Scientific papers are wrong that is not evidence for a God. Science once thought the earth was round their were wrong that didn't make God true.

science isn't the atheist's bible. just because science may be wrong on occasion doesnt mean the atheist's disbelief in God is wrong. an atheist can deny the theory of evolution, the theory of gravity, the big bang theory, certain laws of physics, and many other things in science and they can STILL be atheist because they STILL don't believe in God.

Faith is belief without evidence. Science is based on evidence and observation. As thespurginator stated, scientists repeat each others' works to verify it, and science is open and subject to change.
And I did a bit of research [I googled it ;D] and the spinal cord doesn't regenerate itself over time. Enzymes are manipulated [thanks to science :D], which allows the nerve cells in the spinal cord to regenerate. If left alone, however, it would not regenerate, no matter how long you wait.

Scientists don't use faith. They look at patterns of evidence, and use that to come up with a conclusion. Just like when you go into a tall building, you don't have faith that the building won't fall down, you have the 'evidence' that the other buildings you were in didn't fall down, and you don't often hear about skyscrapers just falling down. So it's you're deductive reasoning that tells you that you'll be safe.

An atheist does not have to believe in science either to be atheist, but many do because science has proven itself time and time again. Scientific theories can be tested, and they are time and time again. Claims that God is alpowerfull/timeless and such are impossible to know. I cannot disprove that there are invisible aliens on Mars, but that does not prove they exist. I cannot disprove God Either, but as with the aliens that does not prove him either.
The burden of proof lies with the theist.

The first premise has aready an been debunked by quantum mechanics. Theist say that God has always existed, that he is timeless. Why can this not be true for matter aswell? Say Matter comes into our reality from a reality that is timeless?

While there may be particles created and destroyed, these are conversions of mass and energy, the sums balance, and we don't actually see any creator. There is also no clear evidence that god exists. I have a missionary friend that tells me you can only "feel" god to know he is real. Since feeling is different with each person, it is open to variables, and if it is open to variables it makes god different to each person. If there was a god there wouldn't be variables.

A: you can't prove that something doesn't exist, and
B: atheism (excluding the gnostic sect) isn't the positive claim to knowledge that no gods exist, while theism is generally the positive claim to knowldege that gods do exist. atheism makes no claim and thus does not carry the burden of proof while theism does. the atheist position is back by the fact that no theist has been able to prove that a god exists.

Researchers and the works they produce are verifiable, it's not practical but still possible. This chain of authority is, as you pointed out, there to save time and energy. We 'trust' specialists, and the people who peer-review them.
This is not the same as having faith in private revelations which produce scripture. The Bible can't be verified at all.

the other great thing about science? when the theory doesn't fit the evidence you change the theory! not the other way around. science is constantly updating because of honesty, there are no dogmas other than "be truthful with your findings"

If you have doubt in a scientist, you can simply look at his work, make you own observations, do your own math or recreate his experiment. No faith required. If you get the same result you have verified his science. If you get a different result you have increased scientific knowledge! If you have a doubt about religion, how do you verify it? What is the method for that? Can that method be repeated with the same results?
