"Habermas uses evidences that even skeptics and liberal historians would use."
Yet none of this makes his case. For example if we had 10 people from 10 different states saying they saw Santa putting presents under their tree on Christmas eve, woould you believe Santa was real? Similarly, he doesn't seem to understand his claim of "dying for their beliefs" for this to be meaningful in the way he uses it, you would need to show the folks in question were given the choice to give up their beliefs
"....saying they saw Santa putting presents under their tree on Christmas eve, woould you believe Santa was real? "
yeah, but you seem to completely miss the glaring failure of your premise. No sane, credible group of pple EVER claimed to see [a] Santa doing that. You don't appear to have read or understand what the Christian scriptures assert. Jesus offered numerous public miracles; Also, the events of his resurrection was well known such that masses of the Roman empire believed them
@shieldsff "the glaring failure of your premise" My premise is the unreliability of eyewitness testimony. More precisely, it doesn't prove a great deal. So your objection proves my point:Eyewitness. The only glaring failure is your ability to understand an argument. Yes having been raised in a christian family and having been a believer, I do understand what they "assert" The question is whether what they assert is true. That 's where they fall short. Elvis appeared after his death as well.
