You must install usb driver in the compatibility mode with VISTA SP2.

the phone is java locked

it takes several codes to unlock

il try findijng the codes for you again!

after the update has anyone worked out how to get java working? only way I can get java is with the vodafone firmware but that sucks in every other way so guess I want the best of both worlds.

I heard firmware version F700AMGJ8 has google maps and allows anyone to install java applications, is this true?

its easier to get around installing java but still trys to stop you

it does have google maps

but not as good as the rest

dosent work for me :'( ive upgraded three f700 i put this on into Qulcomm usb driver mode but when i reboot and put into download mode its still Samsung mobile Modem any idea?

first of all i didnt put qulcomm on

did you put in download mode right

if you did it should say download with a red line across the screen

because if you followed every step correctly then it would work

were does it say samsung mobile modem??

fixed mate, it due to the fact the phone itself was locked, Unlcoked it and it works

Yea it seems it basicly locks the phones functions untill the phone locks are dissabled its done by entering a code

yes it is possible but hard to do because you would need to unlock the java

go to your settings in camera and swith record for multimedia of and it will record for the amount your memory card can hold if its set to memory card

but the f700 gots some java lock codes

it does support but samsung have it locked

there is a code out there to unlock this java lock

I would take either one of these F700XEHA5, F700XXHA3

the one ending in 3 is older but faster 5 is more updated but slower

i rather F700XXHA3 cause its alot faster and easier

if you dont like the one you get you can do the same to change it again

hi, im currently using an unlocked f700 and i have an AT&T simcard in it. every time i try to use a function such as internet, pic/vid sending, or anything data related it closes and says service unavailable.

i read somewhere that upgrading the software/firmware would help, do you know anything about this?

the down arrow would go right,

the right arrow would go left

and the up arrow would make a period..

theres a secret code to get to a section that fixes that prob

its because you prob live in a diff place

no this update doesnt let you play games at all

with the voda firmware you can play games if you download them threw the phones browser

they have to be jad not jar

mobiletoones is a good sight for it

The worste thing is that the USB cable workinkg perfectly using PCstudio!

either the second or third

the first one is a vodafone one

if you want to stay with the vodafone look then choose the first

if you want to have it the way it was suppose to be either 2nd or 3rd

i chose the on that ends with 3
