We're in the "Golden Age" of astronomy. Just in the last 10 years we've discovered over 300 exoplanets, planets that orbit other stars...Even though we may not find a "Star Trek" type of universe, there is now a VERY good chance of finding life on other worlds. Hopefully intelligent enough for us to communicate with.

Just because something is complex doesn't mean there is a designer. There isn't enough evidence to suggest there is a designer, just as there isn't enough evidence to rule it out.
