  • man I haven't heard this since I left E Tawas Mich after livin there for a few years. we actually had a place called the slanty shanty we used to drink at durin huntin season, it was a buddies camp but famous in them parts. It was a old barn held up by cables, so it slanted. That way when you were drunk it looked level lol

  • @backwoodsbadazz Sounds kinda like an old bar they used to have outside Cedar Springs Mi,called The Chicken Coop. That's what it used to be.Don't know if it's still there.

  • I used to do that with my friends, I don't have any anymore so now I just sit my lazy ass in front of the computer in my man cave room and put a good buzz on while ignoring the real, physical world outside. I can be snotty and rude in cyberspace, that's the only real drawback, but I try not to be. I fail often but I still try and the buzz helps.

  • WWWW in Detroit played this song. I remember hearing it as a kid.....Thank you:)

  • wcmf in rochester ny has played this as a friday song too !

  • bout time someone did! been lookin for a long time! thank you for this :)

  • @rebecca807 Hey fruitport.I know what ya mean. This is one song I have to listen to everyday,if ya know what I mean.

  • FILL IT LIGHT IT SHUT UP AND CLOSE THE DOOR !

  • Saw Jonathan a number of time through the years. One of the best show was the summer of 1979 at August Acres Farm in NH. The line-up: JE, Taj Mahal, Richie Havens, Arlo Guthrie, Country Joe and the Fish, and a few others. All for probably $10 or $15 dollars. Those were the days!

  • @dudshumane I was at that show! We camped off the right side of the stage in the woods.

  • Youll never have a better feel good song than this!

  • Is there ANY chance you would have the recorded version of 'Everybody Knows Her' by Jonathan Edwards that you could throw up here? I would kill to hear that song again and post on my facebook wall.

  • Love this song!!!!!!!! Perfect for friday night drinkin :) LoL

  • Thanks for posting it!

  • Here's a crazy idea for you.Instead of having Wars,we have Smokeouts. They bring their best,we bring ours.Last country standing wins.Loser pays for the munchies.

  • @Zeke1950 LMAO!!! THAT IS CLASSIC!

  • 101.5 WIBA fm Madison Wisconsin plays this twice on Fridays. Once @10 am and again @ 5o'clock pm for the hard workers. It's friday here in Wisconsin and it's 8:04am. but it feels like 10:00 am!

  • @024leoj WLAV in Grand Rapids, Michigan has played it every friday, since it came out. There, they call it the friday song. The ice fishermen sit in fishing shanties,& put a good buzz on.

  • @Zeke1950 Yep. They call it the Friday song here too.

  • @Zeke1950 They were playing it on Friday as I left work ... good stuff, and good idea!

  • what,s your custom?

  • Honest Dear. The salesman said he had the perfect place for us.Located in the country.Metal roof never needs replacing.Loads of potential. And it's only $1.5 million dollars. But we have to hurry. At that price,it won't last long.

  • My friend,I'm giving you 6 stars ****** for this one.Thank you for making it & for sharing it with us.It's harvest time in Oregon,so I'll roll one & smoke it in your honor.Like right now.Though I must confess to feeling a little guilty smoking a whole joint by myself, but sometimes a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.Oh and don't forget the ladies too.

  • My favorite version of this song:)

  • 96rock in atlanta, ga used to play this every friday at the five o'clock whistle. thanks for the memories.
