  • The 21st century: when people can't wait 2 minutes to get on a train.

  • this is actually a really old idea initially developed by the "Venus project"

still impressive if they actually build it

  • and itll still get graffitied lol

  • If only we knew what "ji ching cha chow chang chur chong" means!

  • At first I didn't realize how to deal with many boarding and deboarding points. There's a door in the bottom, everyone goes down to the train proper. The unit moves to the back of the train. When your stop is next, you go back up to the unit.

    Nifty!!

  • maybe the chinese should spend more time improving the terrible conditions in some cities rather that cut a few seconds off train journey times

  • @OffWIthTheRain Each stop can take several minutes, and in a country the size of China, with stops every several kilometers, or more in big cities, this could shave hours off a long journey.

  • wierd

  • D: what if your inbetween the top and the bottom when it splits?

  • @PorgeyXD i'm pretty sure the door connecting the two should be close at that time, if not then you're going to lose some body bits

  • @PorgeyXD They could use an elevator that stops working before the transfer point.

  • hmm. i cant tell whether this is a good or a bad idea. its good, as the train can go faster, and there is less engery wasted during breaking and accelerating, but then again, you have to make sure that everyone is prepared, and it would have to be a very low capacity train.

  • @rjc0234

why? between stations people have enough time to prepare themselves for getting off and move to this "smaller piece" that will stop at the station. No need to hurry.....

  • very good idea!!

  • Great idea.

You can go from the beginning of the line to the end, or from one stop to the next.

  • Won't you have to get off at each stop, and have to wait for another train to continue on?

  • yea except if people are truckin ass to get on like they do in japan and the train comes.. "tis the season to be HOLY FUCK!," and if the rails arent lined up that fucker will flip faster than fuck, i bet the bottom train has toyota breaks and it really does want to stop, OOOHHHHH OHOOHHHHHH OOOOOHHH!

  • Useless...and dangerous.

  • @kotarotacon you are useless and dangerous

  • I'd hate to be on that if it falls off by accident.

  • it looks like the cabin you use to get off is in the back of the train and the cabin that you enter moves to the back. i live in nyc and i know for a fact people do not move deeper into the train to make room for new people. wouldn't the rest of the train become useless and the back would become incredibly overcrowded?

  • Nope, seems like nobody thought about the acceleration effects on human body. But it's from China, so that's probably normal lol

  • Yes wouldn't getting shot 350km in a couple of seconds hurt your body?

  • Did somebody think about the acceleration efects on human body? 8-)

And honestly, seems quite dangerous to me...

  • @EjoWitch no accelaration happens to the top part of the train, it seems to slide a little on a slower pace than the speeding train it attaches to..

  • @MahaDahya so how does the human body change speed from zero, to the speed of train, when no acceleration is applied?

  • Great idea.

  • stupid idea

what about if you dont want to get off at the next station you have 2 wait for the next train

  • @DHolyhead No, because I assume you stay in the bottom compartment of the train that never stops, and when you do want to get off you just go to the top bit that does.

  • @DHolyhead You watched this video and got nothing out of it...people get on that carrier and once it;s on the back of the train they get down onto the real train and whenever they want to get off they get back up onto the carrier that stops at the next stop...difficult isn't it??

  • @DHolyhead You get on and off with the shuttle on top, inbetween which you go down into the main cabin...

  • This is a good concept. Let say you design cabinets for computer assisted loading and unloading passengers. Passengers who wants to get off simply walk to a cabinet which will go to stop and they can just walk off. Passengers who want to board walk to another cabinet which will be loaded on to the coming by trains.

High Speed Freeway computer assisted cruising can also have the same principle so we can eliminate a lot of jammed traffics and accidents.
