Man I want a LSB M3. Does anyone know what the years were they produced them in that color? It is color code 448. I have searched and cant find any numbers on it at all.
HPF does more than just sell M3 turbo kits and as it is they have sold plenty to cover the initial R&D costs to make these monsters feasible. When all is said and done I can guarantee you HPF is doing just fine.
Nice product and much respect, but the cost for even a stage 2 is over $22,000 when you include installation. Which aftermarket company charges this much for a stage 2 turbo kit? These are Ferrari level prices.
You must not know much about the modding world. It costs money. And even a stage 2 630+rwhp thats a whole lot more than a stock Ferrari. It takes a lot of time and money to make these cars what they are.
Your making very GENERAL statements. I'm very reasonable, i know that modding cost money, but there is a price point where things "make sense" it's all about the market place dictating the supply and demand curve. The E46 M3 is not what it used to be when it arrived on the scene in late 2000.........(cont)
............cont. The people that purchased that car new could be in the market for these kits at their current prices. the owners of these cars now are former E36 guys that couldn't/wouldn't spend $55-60k on these cars when they were new. they buy them for $17-25k. HPF will have to keep dropping their prices if they are going to sell these kits. selling just 1 or so kits per month is not going to keep things going for long.
They havent dropped any of their prices and they are still selling PLENTY of kits. So just because you cant afford it no offense at all doesnt mean other ppl arent going to buy it. They sell quite a few kits a month.
its not about me not being to afford it, LOL. how do you know how many kits they sell per month? btw...they have dropped their prices, several months back.
Im just saying. Well im close to Chris and David at HPF and i ask every now and then how they are doing with the economy. Yes they lowered their stage 1 kit to compete with the supercharger systems. forgot.
@atoam the price is pretty steep but you get a lot of bang for your buck and performance that exceeds any Ferrari on a straight line. Plus a Ferrari F430 or a model better than that costs 230k plus.
i agree, its a nice kit and performance is great. lets just observe what the market will dictate in 2011-12. watch how the price of their kits start to drop.
i didn't mean Ferrari cars prices, but not far off for modding prices for exotics. Especially now that Max PSI is coming out with a Turbo kit, we shall see more competition in the market place, thus making it more consumer friendly by driving prices down.
I know what you're saying - it's a tremendously expensive turbo kit. However consider the massive power gains, HPF reliability, R&D time & the years HPF has devoted to fine tuning their designs.
Great Video... I will say the Stage2 that Pat got on his car is amazing.
I will vouch these kits are solid.. a true test is rolling it out of the shop then driving it hard for 15 hours from Portland to SoCal! And they are super easy to drive as well.
