"Why does a dog hang its head out the window on a car ride, KNOWING it's going to get bugs in its eyes? For THE THRILL OF THE RIDE!" - Abraham-Hicks That's a "life-lesson" for us all. Dogs are spontaneous and live in the moment. Thanks for sharing the video. We have a new puppy and I can't wait to get a proper harness and take her for rides and trips!
though its fun for dogies to stick their head out the window. you should know that it can cause serious lung issues.... im not saying your doing anything bad i just think its best to know :)
I second the ear infection. This is also super loud for dogs too and car speed up hearing loss. Maybe at a slower speed. I do know they enjoy it though.
@firstand20 She didn't have an ear infection, and since she is too big to sit on my husband's lap she hasn't done it again. Alma is turning 3 years old this year. :)
Dog's happy, but the speed can lead to eye irritation and earaches. I agree that a slower speed is more appropriate, even if the dog chooses to hang out the window. I give big points, though, for the harness!
They don't actually :-) they call it "Magyar Vizsla" (Hungarian Vizsla) - In Hungary 'A Vizsla' could be any number of similar pointers/retrievers for example the Weimaraner is called 'Weimari Vizsla' or the German Pointer is called 'Német Vizsla'
I have a vizslas that lives across the way and he is a nice looking boy. I have a redbone coonhound puppy and I can't walk more than ten feet at a vegetable market and people ask if he is Rhodesian or Vizslas and I say niether...they look puzzled and I say Redbone coonhound and they have no idea what I am talking about. They do look a bit similiar. Cute video btw....he looks cute.
Lots of fun to drive with a Vizsla. Fun to do anything with a Vizsla but may be not best to do this on the highway. One pebble in the eye and....take a look at a windhsield that's had a pebble hit it. Anyway, It's so hard not to let them do what they want because Vizslas love life so much.
