@ToriIsANinja I also expected to play as cloud. At first I was disappointed but as the story went on I also loved the game... I never continued after being killed by that bird looking thingy though(gave up cause I beat a giant in a small space and fought tons of robots but I failed to kill a single stone bird looking thing in a abandoned house...)

Actually, he had mostly recovered from the Mako tank by the time of his death. Zack was made even stronger, actually. But even he wasn't tough enough to take on the whole army.
@ballrdd24 hm...then i wonder how much shinra-fighters he fought...because there is a sidemission ti beat 1000 of them...i wonder if this is a little gab in the game

@ballrdd24 so he took on all but three soldiers before he'd had enough...and then poor Cloud had to drag his rediculously awesome heavy sword all the way back to Midgar.
That's about right. Originally, however, it was only those three soldiers he fought. Regardless, Zack died, Cloud got the memories and the sword, and so began FF-VII.
1:25 - 1:44 has sooo much emotion and pain to it. Those few seconds are simply amazing. You could feel the pain, honor, hapiness, pride, sorrow. Amazing work. The guitar version of it is pretty good too (Under the Apple Tree)
@Rexorsist if u ask me the best part is 0:25, there, i could feel the happiness and sadness roled into honor and bitch slapped by pride lol, only to be rejected by sorrow. of course to each his own, but the whole song is amazing but me, i like the 0:25 piano. after playing the whole game and listening to this song, it would have to be the 0:25 represents Zack the best. plus the psp main menu played tht part with the black feathers and white feathers falling on either side of zack and the buster.
@reapordeath yeah, I like that part too. The whole song itself is really amazing. Takeharu Ishimoto makes really beautiful music. its funny how before playing Crisis Core or any Final Fantasy VII game, I would hate orchestra music and listen the crap on the radio. But after playing the games, I just had a different view on everything. 0:25 represents Zack as he suffered the most. But I find that 1:25 represents his journey and Final Stand.
@Rexorsist to each his own :) but honestly zack really didnt suffer, he lived life like a roller coaster of awsome, so he was never sad, exept when he killed angeal. or probably when his chest was full of holes 0.0 and because of the way the game ended and then i listened to this song, i practically bawled my eyes out bc of how sad to see him die was.
@reapordeath I haven't played the game and since I heard he was going to die I was not shocked when I saw it...I didn't cry but it was extremely sad. When I get this game in the next week I will probably cry after actual playing it and 'bonding' with the character....
@LOTRlover100 oh yea... im not much of a "heart to heart" kind of person, i dont cry at all, and even still it came pretty close for a tear. ive never cried and ive seen some good movies, played good games and seen thousands of people die (games/movies) and zack is the most saddening. also, you should check out the advent children movie. they made a "complete" version that added scenes and filled in some blanks. zack and aerith play a bigger role in advent children complete.

zack didn't just save the world or so, he just sacrificed everything for those, who are important to him without any hesitation, and not just the intention, he basically died. that distinguishes him from the other ff main characters.

It kind of amazes me that video games can actually change a person's life and ma\ke you consider the characters like real people, even if they're.. not. TT~TT But that's what makes the best stories. You can really feel true emotions and it makes you think.
@JohnGeorge101 Well there have other composers for the FF series (Masashi Hamauzu composed alongside Uematsu in FFX and by himself in XIII). What I mean is Square has a history of astounding composers, Uematsu, Hamauzu, Yasunori Mitsuda, Yoko Shimomura, all ingenius composers and this piece by Takeharu Ishimoto is following in Square soft/enix wonderful music library =)
This song seems to encompass Nibelheim for me. I miss Zack, but perhaps he wasn't as unhappy with his lot. He will always be remembered, and be though of as a hero. Just as he wanted, right? Zack's dream has been fulfilled.

@ryuubagubutai Ya damn near HAD to buy Crisis Core, because of Crisis Core Zack OFFICIALLY is my new favorite Final Fantasy 7 character. Hell, he may even be my favorite Final Fantasy character period. Zack Fair, a true SOLDIER 1st Class. His life so tragic his loss so meaningful, and yet, he still overcame the will to just sustain the fact that it was he and his legacy that were dying, no, was not selfish, and he passed everything to Cloud. Plus the new proclaimed Final Fantasy MMORPG; Final Fantasy XIV. One coulld say they're investing their money in better ideas because when Kingdom Hearts 1 was released in North America it struck them with numbers in income that they couldn't believe. They popularity of the first MMO too, Final Fantasy XI. >.>

It kind of amazes me that video games can actually change a person's life and ma\ke you consider the characters like real people, even if they're.. not. TT~TT But that's what makes the best stories. You can really feel true emotions and it makes you think.

@JohnGeorge101 Well there have other composers for the FF series (Masashi Hamauzu composed alongside Uematsu in FFX and by himself in XIII). What I mean is Square has a history of astounding composers, Uematsu, Hamauzu, Yasunori Mitsuda, Yoko Shimomura, all ingenius composers and this piece by Takeharu Ishimoto is following in Square soft/enix wonderful music library =)

This song seems to encompass Nibelheim for me. I miss Zack, but perhaps he wasn't as unhappy with his lot. He will always be remembered, and be though of as a hero. Just as he wanted, right? Zack's dream has been fulfilled.

Im sure if we go look at a chart Square enix knows that ff7 had the largest profit ever. kingdom hearts was good but its been like 4 years and they havent made a KH3. They keep making things for psp. And ff 13 or whatever its on i know nothing about really. My dad and brother just had ff6, ff7, and ff8 laying around on the ps1(yes we still have one XD as a collector item) and i decided to play em. And then i went and bout crisis core. >.<"

@ryuubagubutai Ya damn near HAD to buy Crisis Core, because of Crisis Core Zack OFFICIALLY is my new favorite Final Fantasy 7 character. Hell, he may even be my favorite Final Fantasy character period. Zack Fair, a true SOLDIER 1st Class. His life so tragic his loss so meaningful, and yet, he still overcame the will to just sustain the fact that it was he and his legacy that were dying, no, was not selfish, and he passed everything to Cloud. THAT IS WHAT MAKES HIM GREAT!!!!

I wish they would make it with Crisis core in the beggining and then they can change the game engine for ff7 to like crisis core. It would play through crisis core then just when you think its over BAM!!!! its ff7!!!!!

O_O" But if you're kidding around then I can see the exaggerated humor. xD But putting these two games together is not in my preference, honestly, I'd just rather see the remastered version, completely restored, Final Fantasy 7 on the PS3 with all of it's landmark-less fields of green and... Honestly, I would love to make the game play like Final Fantasy 12, it would just make a more "organic" game, for me at least.

@ryuubagubutai Well it's like I said before, they've moved on to what "they" think are better ideas. Like completion of the Kingdom Hearts series in North America. Plus the new proclaimed Final Fantasy MMORPG; Final Fantasy XIV. One coulld say they're investing their money in better ideas because when Kingdom Hearts 1 was released in North America it struck them with numbers in income that they couldn't believe. They popularity of the first MMO too, Final Fantasy XI. >.>
