I'm back - I've got the '70 SST - I've got a question for anyone... mine has Pierre Cardin interior that came straight from the factory, but I was told that style didn't come out til '71. Help!
Awesome! I've got a '70 Javelin SST with a 401 out of my Grandpa's '74 Ambassador - what a ride! I've left so much rubber where I live - and I wouldn't have it any other way!
gr8 car Iam 37 and got my 1st 71 amc Javelin when I was 16 years old bought for 400.00 and bought a 304 out of a hornet from a junk yard for 100.00 noe i'am on my 6th Javelin a 1974 AMX 360 .040 over check out my profile have small video of start up from storage
the sound is very beutifull V8 i love this car in mexico is very hard find one of this, many mustang, and chevelle but one AMC AMX is most easy find the true love that one AMC AMX, one time i see one AMX in the street but i cant find the car again i wanna have one, is beutifull im crying for this car,
My brother and I bought a 1970 AMX in 1975 or 1976, and my mother owned a 1970 Ambassador. The AMC V8 definitely has a distinctive (and nice) sound which is sadly missing from most roads. If they break Chrysler up, I hope somebody thinks to re-create AMC/Jeep.
It was already painted when I got it so I'm not sure where the color blue came from but I do know it is not AM BBB. AA BBB has more white in it -- a lighter more whiter blue.

Great stuff. AMC all the way! The end kinda reminded me of the end of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, though. When leatherface was weilding his chainsaw up into the air and all around. Except this guy cleaned house at the end!-Brad
