  • GORDIE

  • great hit

  • Nice to see that fuck Hollweg get a bit of his own medicine at the hands of AK27.

  • Well done Kovy !! Just fuck'n stemped Hollweg after he tried to injure Sergei.

  • actually...it was the other way around, hollweg retaliated after what kovalev did...by your logic, what hollweg did was ok then, because it was in response to what kovalev did...

oh wait, you're a canadiens fan, and can't see it both ways, and will insist now that kovalev was innocent...always put your glasses on before you even try to decipher the tiniest facts about the game..can't possibly watch a hockey game without seeing the habs as the victims in everything...pussies.

  • lol i think any fan would defend their team before the other.

  • jmiller006 Hollweg cheapshotted Kovalev, who then got him back. Hollweg then went after a rookie who had nothing to do with any of it.

  • This was actually done before he went after Sergei. Still though Hollwegs a fucking joke good on Kovy.

  • kovalev likes to elbow. dirty little bitch

  • Your a dirty little bitch

  • ur fuckin stupid

  • ryan hollweg is one of the dirtier players around and thats coming from a hockey fan who absolutely despises alex kovalev. so dont be a cunt!

  • hey i dont like hollweg or kovalev i was sayin that kovalev was a dirty little bitch

  • good thing no one like hollweg because he's dirty as hell

  • Shut the fuck up fizik14, habs rock, and will always rock, and Kovy is AWESOME, he's probably the best player in the Habs.

  • if they rock then why did the bruins sweep them?

  • injuries u tard

schneider markov lang tanguay and bouillon

  • nice little pussy excuse...i don't understand how you shit all over players like bouillon all season long and then suddenly they're a key piece of the puzzle missing when they go down to injury...ick, learn to admit your team lost fair and square...you'll feel better.

  • Yeah for sure they rock..swept in the first round..fans turnin on their own team..its a damn good time to be a habs fan eh..lol what a joke, 10 players UFA this summer, no GM, owner, coach...hahahaha the habs 100th season was a complete failure

  • lmao..oh man..the canadiens are shittin the bed right now hard..carey price = the new andrew redlight raycroft..its funny they got so happy because they made it thru the first round last year then got stomped..montreal fans are fuckin faggots

  • ORLY

  • yes hahaha

there back up goalie isnt tha good ether

    hmmm

GO BRUINS CANADIENS WERE SWEPT :)

  • All i can say is: TAKE THAT BITCH!

  • FUCKING RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GO KOVY GO! ;D

  • There is no DBL standard, there is however refs with different calls in the game.Hollweg is a VERY dirty player EVERY game, you can't just pick a spot here and there like you are doing with Kovalev,he is a clean player who ONLY retaliates. We need more of the not so tough players to start standing up to the hacks in the nhl, better yet get rid of the hacks.Hollweg=hack

  • its obvious there is a double standard in the NHL when it comes to hits and supensions by star players.

Kovalev laid another dirty elbow on Simon Gagne this past weekend and got away with no suspension or even a penalty call in the game.

If this was George Laraque he would be gone for 4 to 5 games...guaranteed.

if your Alex Ovechkin or Alexi Kovalev you can take someones head off and the league looks thge other way...if your Donald Brashear or Georges Laraque you pay the price.

  • where the hell did you see the elbow on gagne?

  • lolololol hes lost

  • We had many players with no playoff experience last year. As for the first game this year, I remind you that we were leading by 3 goals and took it easy thereafter, your 3rd goal was very lucky too. It was a performance to forget frome the habs. You seem to have a strong longing for talking about diving. I expressed my view. Do I need to write a book about it? Diving is'nt worth paying attention to, it does'nt really matter. Games are wont with creativity and talent with a lil dive somtimes ;)

  • oh youre a bruins sorry my bad

  • Oh I forgot, you're gonna tell me that Briere is no more a diver because he plays for the Flyers?

  • Actually, I don't remember seeing Kovy be called for diving

  • when i saw kovy shot, all i can say, its Ha.....Ha....hahahahahahaha .. just bring the cup this year for the 100th ;)go habs go

  • you'll be the same one whining when your boy koivu gets taken out on a hit like this...or on any legal body check for that matter, just like the rest of the whining, crying idiots at the bell centre every night...

  • You brought up his the blow to the wrist he got from Green in 2004. I said even though he gave up on the play and made his team lose, he stepped up to make up for it in the next games. Actually he did the same in 1995. A diver he is, a winner he is too, Its hard top come by players that get better under pressure

  • its pretty easy to come by great players who don't exercise bad sportsmanship however...hmmm, mats sundin? (i know, a maple leaf)...ray bourque? (yep, a bruin)...many, many more and they're better than kovalev anyways...you can't excuse bad sportsmanship with the fact you're a great talent...and that's what it annoys me that habs fans do...

  • kovalev is great. I love when he dives because he always gets away with it and draws penalities. He is smarter than most players. Montreal fans a the best, you're just jealous. Go habs go

  • the fact that you love when a player dives really says a lot about the kind of fan you are...you should be fucking ashamed for calling yourself a hockey fan saying stupid shit like that...it's unsportsmanlike and there's no getting around it...the habs were diving all over the ice last game i watched against the bruins and finally, the refs kept hitting them with non-calls..and oh, look at that, the game turned out to be far closer than in past regular season games...see you november 13th bitch.

  • it's part of the new hockey era. gotta be good at diving. I played soccer for 10 years too, you have to dive to get some loose. Same in hockey, or it's getting. Its pp league, so a player that draws penalities all the time such as Kovalev is'nt expendable at all. yes see you the 13th.

  • diving is for queers and everyone except you fag canadiens fans are able to understand how shameful it is to the sport...it's shameful in soccer too, that's why soccer doesn't succeed in canada or the states. win fair and square...through grit, toughness, and skill...the canadiens have one of those three down.

  • Soccer is the most played sport in the world, it's getting more and more popular in Canada. There are much more shameful things such as the head blows, boardings and kneeings. You get called for a dive so if you can manage to get away with it, it's no cheating the reffere did'nt call it, and it becomes part of the strategy especially when players push you around. There are divers in everyteam anyways, habs did'nt invent that.

  • and listen, sorry if everyone other than a few of you canadien pussies thinks diving is such an embarassing part of a sport built on strong physical play, but you could at least have the decency to argue that the canadiens aren't divers...instead, you encourage it and say it's "part of the game"...imagine if every game, players were just diving all over the ice trying to get penalties ALL THE TIME...i know, being a canadiens fan, you see close to that every night, but hockey would morbidly suck.

  • As I said diving is called unless the opponent kinda compromised on you and you just embelish it so that he gets called for it, and Kovalev is a master to do so. Who wants a diver that gets called all the time, it does'nt happen on numerous occasions, so it won't ever get to the point of players diving all over the ice all the time. If the officer could'nt see it, gotta give credit to the player. That's the way it is, teams have to make up with it

  • i can't even understand the first half of your comment...either way, diving is not part of the game and is embarrassing to all hockey fans except for you and a couple of your Montreal buddies evidently...go ahead, keep saying it's ok and it's fine as long as the other player doesn't get caught and diving will continue to be one of few deadly viruses of this sport...i'm sorry that you've actually come to a point to accept it as ok and i would hope that you one day realize its absolute absurdity.

  • I meant that you can't dive all the time cause you must have the opponent compromised on you, if not it's gonna be obvious you did dive. If the def for instance does'nt hold you up a bit, you can't dive. Anyways, I'd rather have a team that dives sometimes but practices a creative hockey style than a dump and chase system such as the flyer's, besides they are dirty as shit and always have. They were involved like 4 times last year for concussion cases.

  • yeah, i am a bruins fan, and stop trying to distract the point...you're talking about "dirty teams" which both of us should be able to ackowledge has nothing to do with diving...sure, both are bad things...but why don't you go ahead and stick to your flawed argument about why diving is ok under certain circumstances?...i mean, i know that it's not possible to win it, but i don't really want to talk about dirty teams, i'm in full agreement with you there, i hate the flyers.

  • Whether or not you want it, you're gonna have to live with it. Diving is from now on part of the game, and we will see rise a new type players in the years to come like the fighters, they will be tagged as the divers, requiring some special skills as much as any other aspects of the game. Every team will seek to death its special diver. Kovalev is the master, he will have left a great legacy to the nhl when he's gone... Just kidding buddy, see you the 13th habs 5 to 2 over the Bruins.

  • no, we don't have to live with it...instead of applauding players for being "smart" by diving, we can instead demand that referees and the league offices pay closer attention to it and maintain harsher punishments to players who do it...your idea is living with it, mine is discouraging it to every means, because whether YOU like it or not, it's a destructive and embarassing part of the sport, and without question, the NHL would be a better league with less and if possible none of it.

  • You did'nt read all my comment, did'nt you? I was just kidding. You make a drama of it, there are other things at issue in the nhl right now. why not enjoy the spectacular acpect of it, I think the greatest one was Bobby orr's... Habs will kick your ass over the next 5 games, I foretell another sweeping. Go hasb go

  • hey, as long as its a good playoff series which could go to either team (you know, like how it was last year)...and, once again, you just want to talk about other things other than diving because you know youre arguing a stupid point...did i ever say i didn't enjoy hockey or think all it is is diving? im not making a drama out of anything. i just disagree with the fact you think diving is ok. the only fans i've ever heard say that is habs fans...must say something about the team they root for.

  • I think its ok insofar as it stays subtle and happens once or twice a game. This is really the last thing I see of Kovalev, his playing is so electrifying and spectacular that I can just overlook his shortcomings. The habs have grown mature this year, they will be very tough to beat in the playoff, if everyone stays healthy though. Bruins seem to have a pretty competitive team this year, but they don't stand a chance against Montreal this year. I'm only afraid of the sharks and the reds.

  • wow, sounds like the same thing people were saying about the bruins going into their first round series with the canadiens last year..."don't stand a chance"...besides which, they lost in a shootout to the habs at the bell centre this year? what makes you think they "don't stand a chance"? but yet again, this isn't the point...the montreal canadiens dive much more than any other team i've seen in the current league and apparently, their fans think it's ok...shameful, that's all i have to say.

  • How do you figure montreal "dives" the most in the nhl? Clearly you do not watch enough, or any hockey, for that matter. You're probably just another angry bruins fan. Deal with it, montreal are the greatest in history. And at present, still better than boston.

The fans dont think diving is okay because you dont see any of it at the bell centre. Actually, thats not true, It all depends who we're playing. Like Boston, they come in with their "diving" spirit. all the way to the bottom and lose

  • hmmm...didn't know how to respond until you said the montreal canadiens don't dive...you're an idiot...every fan in hockey acknowledges the constant diving of your team. kovalev plays on your team...do you think the league offices have sent numerous letters to montreal players warning against them diving when their "is no diving at the bell centre?" your team is better than mine right now (actually, statistically the bruins are ahead), but that doesn't change the fact that your team dives...

  • stop crying and speaking nonsense beacuse you got completely and utterly dominated by the candiens in the regular and post season. I like how we rested our young guys for 3 games, let you think you had some hope, then finished you off. 1st round knockout.

and no, montreal doesn't dive. quit crying and go back to being a typical, angry bruins fan.

  • yeah, we got dominated in the regular season last year...unlike most canadiens fans, im willing to admit my team's faults...you did, on the other hand, almost got beat last year in the playoffs by the bruins, end of story...who are these "young guys" you rested? ive actually found a few decent hab fans who said how great of a series the bruins made it and anyone with hockey sense has said that was a well-balanced, hard fought series by both teams...so you're the one talking bullshit and crying.

  • Kovalev is the Queen of diving, so I'm not sure where you're coming from.

  • Marty, yeah and the Bullies owned you in the playoffs last year...whats your point?

you choked ,Philly dominated your skilled boys.

physically,on the power play,on defense and between the pipes YOU GOT OWNED.

  • You know where the "Experts" said we would finish last season? About 12th. And who won the eastern conference?

    Yeah, enough said.

So we lost in the 2nd round, not bad for a team that wasn't even supposed to make the playoffs.

Our "skilled boys", precisely the point. How many of our plyers had never seen the post-season before. Not to mention a rookie goaltender. Soak it up while you can pal. Philly isn't going anywhere this season.

Owned? No. We won game 1. No sweep. NO "owned". :-P

  • Hahaha, the Canadiens suck and they're fans are a joke. Trash your city because your team beat the 8th place team in the 1st round of playoffs...against the team that was supposed to come in last in the league...then gets owned in the second round and wasn't even competition!

  • ready to get your ass beat!!! Montreal 6 to 2 over the bruins, yeah gonna be fun to watch

  • it's the end of the first period and you're already guaranteed wrong...eat a dick.

  • pretty happy about the game, they're gonna fucking sweat in the next practice, I tell you that, worst performance in 5 year as far as I'm concern. fuck

  • i gotta give you credit actually...you were pretty close with the score...

  • I get these feelings everyonce in awhile...

  • haha...i'm sorry about the "eat a dick" comment...i forgot that we were under the rare circumstance of a montreal canadiens fan and a boston bruins fan being on good terms...:) as usual, can't wait til the next one...

  • typical kovalev, continuously showing everyone the kinda cheap bitch he is. figures tho, he does play for the canadiens.

  • even tho hollweg is a piece of shit

  • And then later on Hollweg hits Sergei Kostitsyn from the back and gorges tears him a new one.

  • both players retaliated. But I believe in what comes around goes around. except the ranger's player didn't stick up for their player, montreal sticked up for kostitsyn. but hey the habs have more class and leadership than any other team so...

  • yes kovalev elbows him ,but Kovalev doesn't take shit from anyone, just go and see the Tucker and Kovalev fight. Hollweg gives him a shoulder to the face, and then Kovalev got pissed off, It's hockey and every one looses it sometimes!!!

  • oh you mean where he was going to get called for a penalty and then when they both squared up to fight the entire montreal team jumped in (as always)...oh yeah i remember that...yeah, i mean i guess kovalev shouldn't take shit considering all the guys that have severely injured him during the playoffs...its totally justified to give up on a play after getting tapped in the hand.

  • whatever, he does'nt choke under pressure. After that mistake, he took over the things and habs won the serie. This guy always fixes his mistakes.

  • ? what are you talking about? alex kovalev is a spectacular hockey player, but he is such a little bitch and is the top diver in the league...end of story.

  • kovy never goes after someone without a reason. you see him do it often, he just gives people a taste of their own medicine.

    the famous tucker hit.

recently: this one, lecavalier shortly after. they always went after him first. he just always ended up getting the better of them.

  • agree.. tucker.. was so delicious when i saw it

  • Yup. That's exactly right. Takes care of retribution all by himself, fairly immediately, and then it is done. He forgets about it all. An eye for an eye, (or an elbow for an elbow) LOL!. One difference, I suppose, if their's isn't so good (Tucker, Hollweg), Kovy shows them how to do it right!! LOL !!!

  • I hate how Ranger fans think that Hollweg had a reason to check Kostitsyn from behind, when before Kovalev elbowed Hollweg, Hollweg tried to blindside Kovalev, with his own elbow. IMO Hollweg is a big cry baby.

  • I totally agree with RedHustlerCrush that was sweet russian justice delivered by the warrior hiself Mr.Kovalev. This guy knows how to handle the puck and doesn't wait for anyone to defend himself. Props Kovy, you are the Captain.

  • they are the most unprincipled people on the planet and its sad that they and the Germans didn't kill each other off in WWII :(

  • ask anyone in Europe:

Russians are congenital liars and treacherous in the extreme; they are also slimey and poorly-groomed. Why America indulges the back-stabbing rats who wish them ill is beyond me, but the rest of the world doesn't have to be so stupid.

A russian will extend the hand of friendship to you and, with the other hand, plunge a knife between your shoulder blades

  • ya, but we can't take that into consideration. It would be like talking to a Jap saying the Chinese are fucken ugly people!...Russia and America are true rivals...but I don't really give a rats ass if they're poorly-groomed or not. Lots of BS americans are too.

  • Kovalev owned this fucking pussy. He responded with some Russian justice.

  • You can hear the announcers saying just before how Hollweg took a shot at Kovalev. Hes an older guy, had problems with vertigo last year and hes going to let someone take a shot at his head? what goes around comes around. Hollweg then goes after Kostitsyn Jr to escalate the matter. Gonna be interesting the next time these guys play.

  • Kovalev or Hollweg is older? cuz if your talking about Hollweg, search up on Kovi, you'll see it hasen't always been rainbows and butterflies...

  • typical russian; nothing but a cheapshot artist

  • ok...ok, and Hollweg's attack on Kostitsyn???

  • Comment removed

  • That's what happens when you try to piss him off. Take that, bitch.

  • ALEXEIIIIIII KOOOVAAALEEEVVVV ;D !!! Absolutely a beautiful elbow.

  • The Hollweg bitch deserved it.. Tucker ate it too last season... Avery's next..

  • Hollweg is a fucking fag, just like tucker, simon downey ruutu and many more

lets see how you hit a guy when hes not from behind you fucking twats

  • i agree with your list but not hollwegthe canadiens desevered it for that hit oh hollweg and escpecially not even a penelty on that elbow the refs are gay and only call pussy shit like hooks now-a-days

  • he sucks hollweg

  • you live on another planet

  • shut the fuck up bemoose83 your player hollweg cheapshot every since is in this league and by the way he was not injure so stop crying...

  • i wish chris simon pop up is head one more time like last years. hollweg is not even a hockey player he deserve it

  • dude dont even say that shit, your not even a hockey fan dude fucking saying you want chris simon to almost try to kill a dude again dude your a fucking pussy

  • anyway I dont respect rangers fans at all you piece off shit crying every time your goons cant stand on is skate

  • what the fuck are you talking about dude we dont cry about everything and whatever team you like your setting pussy ass reputation for them saying you want chris simon to try to almost kill hollweg rangers fans would say that shit about anyone and you dont respect us who the hell wants to respect your chodey ass

  • he got what was coming to him, that asshole is always hitting people from behind, so fuckyou hollweg

  • not really he has like 2 there are like 15 guys in the league with more check from behinds and kovalev was lucky orr didnt knock his head off

  • orr cant knock a 5.6 feet midget and where you pick your stupid stats

  • type it in on google or yahoo and i watched the aftergame interview and orr said ehe didnt want to fight him but bullion did and orr said he didnt fight him as hard as he could of because he knew it was lopsided

  • goons need another goons for defending himself

    what a pussy!!!!

  • I've personally always respected Orr, maybe Bouillon could've taken a bigger beating than that. But Bouillon doesn't back away from ANYONE. So props to both of 'em. But fuck Hollweg, he's a fucken pussy!

  • give me a fucking break Bouillon would own Orr even if he tried. He's taken the best of them in the fighter's category. Komisarek could even beat him with 1 hand.

  • hahaaha i'm going to pretend i didn't just see that you typed that. are you serious orr would absolutley kill bouillon and komisarek don't care if you are a montreal all fan or not you know orr would wreck them and im sure so does every other fan even if they don't want to admit it maybe bouillon is better and skateing and shooting but fighting? no, you should really know things before you type them.

  • I don't know if Francis would beat Orr but he'd give it a try. That's the thing about Bouillon. He's not an instigator but he won't back down. Komisarek would seriously kick Orr's butt. No question about that! Habs rule!!

  • dude your mad funny, bouillon is a great player but he would have no chance vs orr and i hope you were kidding with komiserak, he's good but he isnt close to being good enough to beat orr, komiserak doesnt have enough fighting experience, and he lost to scott walker and brad winchester, who are horrible fighters that even hollweg could beat, so dont say things you dont know because your just being buyest.

  • Watch this video, young man and come back here and talk to me --> Dubinsky vs Komisarek Feb 19, 2008

Komisarek would deck Hollweg and Hollweg even knows it!

  • okay i like how you try to change the subject i didnt say anything about dubinky and i didn't say hollweg would komiseark im saying those two guys who beat komiseak hollweg could beat but nice try im not retarded and ive seen it, wow komiserak beat a guy half his size and whose a rookie, wow! big ups for him, seriously just get off his cock, orr would kill him.

  • OK, I can't help but jump in on this...Your an Idiot. Komisarek would destroy Hollweg, hell Gregory Stewart could own his ass, he destroyed McCabe at the end of the season in his 1st game and McCabe, correct me if I'm wrong is bigger then Hollweg. SO IMO. Komisarek would destroy him. and those fights you mentioned we're pretty far back. and besides he doesn't need to fight, he's one of the best defensive players in the league and he knows when to not take stupid fucking penalties.

  • Hollweg got 1 match and Kovalev nothing.

    vive le canadien!!!!!!

  • kovalev is 5 times the player hollweg is but if they dropped the mitts holly would dummy him

  • self defense??? what a joke, also wishing injury on someone?? another joke! its attitudes like that that make hockey a laughing stock when compared to other sports...its a great game but some "fans" are dumbasses

  • self defense!

too bad hollweg didn't get injured there :(

  • Cheap shot!

    1-2 games for Kovalev!
