there are some lightweight hd cameras out there that are pretty inexpensive. theres a really cheap keychain hd camera online, less than $30. its really small and light
Nice cool clear video i'm new to this can you tell me what ype of engine, osd ,transmitter your using please details i would like to ge me one but it has to be high altitude like this.
One of the best FPV videos on Youtube, I love the altitude, clouds and smooth & crisp videoquality of this vid. Can't wait to try out my FPV Easystar this upcoming spring.
I have the hobbywireless video system 900mhz 500 mw. I have a vee antena on the transmitter and a 8dbi patch antena on the receiver. My video reception is poor compared to your 2.4ghz system with lots of video dropouts. I guess im flying in a bad locating with lots of interference its in the middle of the city on 900mhz . Would not be able to consider flying that high with my setup i would not trust the video signal.
Looks like your able to fly up very high without any radio problems. Also nice that your camera setup has no interference problems. Thats nice flying.
I recently bought the 900mhz 500mw transmitter from hobbywireless. And when i tried flying the 900mhz tranmitter was interfering with the 2.4ghz plane receiver. The transmitter was about 15in. apart from the receiver. The easyglider that i have was not flying well with the camera setup. I checked the cg the plane was balanced. When i landed the radio went out on the plane lucky i did not crash. Switching to 72mhz plane radio. Ordered a low pass 900mhz filter and some ferrite cores.
Fantastic video. looks great! smooth flying. i saw a low flying aircraft at your 2 oclock starting at 1:36, where you near air traffic/airport or is it another RC plane. looked liek it was moving pretty fast. you ever had ay close calls with real air traffic at that altitude? i know i'd be one pissed of pilot if i had an easy glider crash through my windshield at 200 knots!!
@stormranger6 I fly with a friend that has a huge telecaster ( 12' wingspan) that flies FPV you can see in the video. He doesn't go above 100m as he doesn't have an OSD
That was awsome thanks mate. What kind of FPV Equipment are you using to allow you to go that high. Probably the best Video i've seen yet on Utube. Cheers for the info.
@Takemehiger Hey, did your GPS/OSD require 2 channels on your Futaba 6EX? How did you manage to have enough channels? Can you give me an example of your Channel configuration?
I have mine as follows:
CH1: Elevator
CH2: Aileron
CH3: Rudder
CH4: Throttle
CH5: Camera Pan
CH6: Camera Tilt
Someone told me you need at least a Futaba 9C because the OSD and GPS uses 2 of them. I'm screwed if this is true :(. Is this true?
@muffdriver69 Yeah you do one for gps fail safe it will return home and one for taking hud on or off like to switch trhough the menus of osd Btw dont worry get the Turnigy 9x its 9channels and its 70 bucks with shipping included at hobbyking (dot) com PLUS you can mod it for 72mhz or UHF what i use its from dragon link it has 12 channels but it only emits 9 cuz thats how many my tx turnigy has
@skimowhite586 Hey, thanks for the response man. Why so cheap for 9 channels? Also, 72 Mhz is illegal in Australia and I moved here recently. Actually, almost every popular frequency is illegal here, except for 2.4 GHz. It really sucks :(
Excellent Filming. That was neat to see you fly in the Clouds. Man,,,,, technology came a long ways. Soon i will be investing in one of these once i get my finances straight..
It is Blackstork , I really like it.I have been through the clouds a few times and it looks like grey fog.The plane acts fine in a cloud, sometimes theres alot of lift in them.
is this the black stork OSD? Have you ever gotten inside a cloud? if so, how the airplane act? my airplane was being thrown arond when I got in the cloud.
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. Can you tell us what video equipment did you use? (Camera, Transmitter, receiver, frequence, power, antenna, recorder, etc)
gosh...that is awesome! incredible! at 1:05...seeing the shadow that the clouds put on the groung was really neat. Nice video!!!

I want to see the camera built right into the main board. The Chinese are pretty good at putting VGA quality cameras in everything.
