  • The man is putting way to much pressure in his self

  • Im pretty sure the reason they played it so slow was because of where they played it - at that mall, it's very open and all the sounds would just blend together had they played it original speed..just saying

  • I PLAYED THIS. not kidding, i performed this on bassoon TODAY. its a great sband song but yes it is a lottle slow.

  • My bands playing this i play the bongos nd anvil for this its pretty easy but our grunters grunt like pussys it annoys us big and ballzy is how this song is suppoused to b played

  • 0:45 Beautiful Lower brass

  • so many flutes....

  • instant concert where got so slow...... but they play quite well....

  • FINALY ONE BAND WHERE THE SNARE PLAYER DIDN'T COMPLETELY FUCK UP THE SOLO! nice kudos to you!

  • the way we do this is everytime u have melody you stand up and we go probably 3 times faster then this...then we do it as an encore song and we go double time haha it really kills the knees hahaha

  • we played while marching top that

  • slow, but still good

  • Kinda slow they were dragging a bit. Instant concert equals life though so I enjoyed this :)

  • to slow no band on youtube play it a decent pace

  • @jmc6787 umm look up Seminole County all county band and its there. i should know, im 1st chair bass clarinet

  • @jmc6787 True, but Instant Concert - Band of the South Australia Police is a very interesting pace =)

  • @jmc6787 look one up from a guy named link bean its my schools wind ensemble they play it up to pace trust me =D

  • This is very slow!! Instant Concert is much faster:/

  • it is a tad slow. It is dragging a little...

  • @Snowball2202 who cares if they're dragging it? it wouldn't have sounded any better at the right tempo. Harold Walters murdered music with this piece.

  • thumbs up they play it the best on youtube!!

  • I'm nearly 50 - I played this as a kid! It's an old 'Brass Band' number from England - I remember every note! We played it to close every Christmas Concert - we were usually so drunk that we played from memory! Astonishing that our type of music has died but this old 'standby' is now a 'classic'! Ha ha - enjoy!

  • My alma mater played this when I was in school, recently had their end of the year awards and they played it again this year, we are way smaller than this and I love hearing it from a band with a bigger variety of instruments

  • Awesome! I'm playing this for a summer concert, but with only 23 people!

  • im in 8th grade. our band plays it better than this.

  • but this is still very well done.

  • OMG, I played this in high school back in 2001. My goodness the memories.

  • i play the snare for this. everything is easy except i have trouble on the deck the halls part of the piece

  • well i wouldn't say instant concert is a hard song ... It's okay :) I play drums and our concert band thought we should play it much faster ... but okay i see you're a little bit younger than us then it's okay :)

  • My band is playing this song,And yes its not easy and yes it takes practice, for sure. Me myself right now is playing Bass for an Orchestral version of it. And we can play right to speed. Plus we are 8th graders. Keep up the good work and you guys can do it.

  • A change in tempo through different parts of the song would have been nice.

    I love this song.

  • I'm guessing this band is still working on this piece at the time of playing as it should normally be played a little faster. But thats ok, it takes a little time to get used to this piece, especially for less experienced players.

I played first trumpet in my school band and we've been playing this piece for years, its a real crowd favourite second only to Hootenanny :)

  • A little faster ???

  • was there any bassoon? i cant see if there was lol nice job

  • My band just got this piece. I love it so much!! YAY TIMPANI!!!!

  • my band got this piece too the videos on my channel =D the only bad thing was that we didnt have good trumpets D=

  • true, way too slow...should be in cut time

  • Comment removed

  • they're only slow by like a minute no WAY slow just a minute

  • I think the performance speed is something like 120bpm and in cut time

  • i guess maybe they were still working on it cause my band just got this piece and we went slow to get fingerings and speeds down but we still need A LOT of practice and we playing this piece in a week not a smart idea of my band director i kno lol

  • LMFAO, my pink little cast, and my other broken hands, haha two broken hands. lol. well it wasnt half bad, good freshman memories

  • u guys r good... :)

  • I agree with the people who posted below me, you're good, but this piece sounds better played twice the speed.

  • why does it seem like the tempo's slower than it's supposed to be..? =/

  • there is alot of places where it should be alot slower and some faster

  • sounds a WHOLE LOT BETTER when played in one!!!
