What brilliant dialogues, screenplay, acting, direction and casting!!!

  • In previous episode Sri Krsna himself gives meaning to word Sanatana "Eternal"... Sanatana Dharma means Eternal Duty and this is the only religion of man i.e. Selfless Duty...Nishkaam Karma.

  • yeh satya hey........................

  • if type "geeta 14" on youtube, Bhagwad Geeta is explained little more. It's part of serial of Ramanand Sagar! Humanity is our religion, live for extended family and meditate. Jai Shri Karishan

  • hare krishna hare krishna , krishna krishna hare hare.

there is NOTHING beyond him. the sooner we realize that, the better off we are.

  • The greatest source of knowledge for the human beings who believe on one religion that is humanity; Song sung by himself : the almighty Narayana vagwan.

  • @realplanet

Well the answer is quite clear. He had gone to the sabha to talk to duryodhan and his dad but they were not interested in talking rather were acting like fools. Krishna ji had done what he could .....

The old people your talking about dont deserve his teaching because of the karma they did by not helping dropadi because they were waiting for their king to stop them who in turn could not over power love for his son.

    Everything is related to karma.

  • @ashuezy2

i never understand this Karma theory, it sounds so illogical nd unfair. a human gets punishments for the past karma that she/he did in past lives which she/he do not even remember !!! if u don't know what wrong u did then what's the point of punishing, totally unfair.

  • @ashuezy2 Also, 1 more thing, who gave duryodhan such an angry nature ? who gave shakuni such a cunning nature, who gave dhritrashtra such a jealous nature (1st who made him blind). u will it's their past karma ... but who gave first birth to any human ? It was God. Why he started life-death-life-death cycle ? he is the origin of all these nd why do we have suffer through all these ?

  • @realplanet My friend who gave who gave duryodhan such an angry nature ? who gave shakuni such a cunning nature, who gave dhritrashtra such a jealous nature BUT ALSO who gave the Pandavas, Bhishma, Vidur, Drona such a noble nature, god yes but as a result of their previous actions. Some choose to do good and others to do bad God does not force anyone to act in anyway, we have the liberty.

  • @realplanet You are saying who gave birth to human and make him suffer, your point is wrong but even if we take it through your point, people who have done good deeds and attained moksha are very happy that god have created them, i think they do not even care that they have suffered on earth. You have many persons like you who think that god is being unfair with them and making them suffer but you also have those who silently accept these suffering and still try to come out of it.

  • @iaarl

Only bcoz certain ppl accept whatever it is does not make it fair. We have all the rights to know for which sin we r being punished. If ppl do NOT complain abt it then that's their problem.

Asking "why" for the suffering that one has to go through is not an offense to God, it's curiosity which comes from the nature that God himself provided us. The answer of this ques shud be answered instead of trying to play with words and giving worng arguments

  • @realplanet Yeah but the problem is that we cannot know why we are paying for which sin and god made it this way,. For me if god made it this way then it should be for our own good. I am no Saint to be able to give u spiritual answers but i am only sharing my views. Anyway even if you keep on complaining all your life i do not think God will appear in front of you to give you your answers and you cannot trust any saint as you will never know if he is giving you the real reason.

  • @iaarl u ryt kind of ryt...we dont knw 4 wich sin we r payin for..nd i m not rite person to make to u explain dis stuff...but if u ever wish u can read gospel of ramakrishna...it may help you!!

  • @iaarl Please try to analyse each statement here that is said by Lord Krishna you will get the true meaning of life of why we human beings are born and what is the reason we have the brain different than other creatures.... Please try to get the jist from the epic geeta.....

  • must watch from 13:19

  • The music that plays when Arjun's eyes open and he finally realizes that he will fight and picks up his Gandiv , that music gives me goose bumps and shakes away all my fears everytime I watch this

  • itni der tak sabhi on either side kya kar rahey hongey? banon ke primitive projectiles se cross fire mein to zyada log martey hongey na.

  • what an amazing gyanupadesh given by lord krishna. he is the creator , protector & divine truth in this universe. lord krishna is every where in this universe. wow two eyes r not enough to see lord krishnas vishwaroop.Lord Krishna reveals His identity as the Supreme Being Himself (Svayam Bhagavan), blessing Arjuna with an awe-inspiring vision of His divine universal form is breathtaking scene.

  • THIS IS NOT ONLY ABOUT HINDUISM....

THIS IS ALL ABOUT ''SANATAN DHARMA'' WHICH IS ETERNAL AND INCLUDES ALL KINDS OF FAITH FOR THE WELFARE OF THE LIVING BEINGS AND THE UNIVERSE. THERE IS ONLY ONE RELIGION IN THE WORLD - THAT IS DHARMA.

  • @pwatya totally agree with u abt sanatana dharma. wow conversation between lord krishna & arjuna is so divine. loved it when lord krishna explains to Arjuna his duties as a warrior and prince and elaborates on different Yogic and Vedantic philosophies, with examples and analogies.

  • Bhagavad Gita is the "Consile Capsule" of the whole wisdom in the Universe !

There is no wisdom that crosses beyond Bahagavad Gita ! OM !

  • "chinta na karo, mujhme vishwas karo " ~ Krishna

    adbudh....really needed that...Love you Kanha!

  • very right said by krishan

  • well said by shree krishan but too bad we r so tangled in other problems created by urself.................

  • very good

  • Sanjay watching world's first ever live telecast!!

  • Sanatan dharma is not hinduism, as the name suggests its eternal. The way of life we have in India is eternal and its not communal. We accept people following all faiths and ways of worship. Hindusim, Christianity, Islam and all major such religions are only a subset of sanatan dharma which is superset of all good teachings.

  • Gems of wisdom, but Hindus took only convenient bits. Yada yada hi dharmasya etc. Mughals have come, burning down cities - no need to worry, Krishna will come. British have come - no need to worry Krishna will save us.. And eat some more Prasada. What a Lazy and selfish attitude. Sad.

  • @aajoshi1

We need to help ourselves first why we need to bother always God.FYI.....and at time of british rule....there were lots of great saint and political people play a vital role for the good future of India (Not just for Hinduism or freedom but also for humanity ) for example: Mahatma Gandhi....Shri Swaminayaran (He born in 18 century....he is considered as incarnation of god Krishna... )...World is full of problem...try to solve by yourself first then ask God for help....

  • we should follow god's direction as much as we can. god is every where so why we worry. lets do our duty honestly in favour of nature and god.................

  • well according to ramayana and mahabharat, the lord has already come to the earth to show the right path, but i dont understand why he only came to india and guided the indians only, he should have guided the whole of humanity, but thats only my view.. may be iam wrong.....

  • @iamrizwan probably other civilization were establishing themselves at that time :)

  • @iamrizwan Who are indians, they didn't just drop from anywhere, they came from some part of the world. Here only the actors are indians, but in reality Krsna told Gita to the people of the world, also today this information is available for everyone as it was yesterday and it will be available in the future too. Don't be bounded by the territory, you want the knowledge then seek it, don't look at it with boundaries of where it has been taught.

  • @iamrizwan Before Mahabharat period whole world was vedic , There were no imaginary boundary at that times .

  • @iamrizwan, yeap dude u where wrong in some ways, because the orginal text was written in 4th century, n on that time mahabharat was not only india, it must have occupied all most all the asia and some other continent. and on that the land mass must have been connected so where was so sea or ocean bewteen them. the text was written and reserve in india thats why people think it happened only in india.

n there are other gods which born far away from india like (the shepherd god) christ.

  • @thapadi

Due to the fct vidya vyas born 2000b.c. so how u know mahabharata written in 4th century?U dumbo the missionary not have no knowledge that period Buddha king ruled India and great gupta dyanesty fall down. Also in total mahabharata we find not a single word on buddha where as buddhist text contain the name of krishna. We know missionary has no brain but dont know it has without head.

  • @iamrizwan In those days, there was nothing like India or Pakistan or Sri Lanka.etc etc.

  • it grt................thank you very much

  • what a dialogue which talks about concept of jivan mukti and control of mind...very enlightening and inspiring.....need this in times of despair Om Namo Narayana

  • awesome

  • Hi, Mahabharatam episode stopped after episode 73.

  • What? No English subtitles?

  • VERY NICE

  • I am aware that youtube doesn't allow live sports, television episodes and movies stream but stream episodes (.) net does. I quite suggest you people specially rajshri to go look it over!

    Mahabharat - Episode 74

  • One of the faces when Krishna shows his real self- the one that represents death (with the people going in)- it looks so much like Shah Rukh Khan; I have been wondering whether it was him (I think that was the time he was into the serial world).

  • very nice!

  • My language skills are not very good. could someone please explain what Lord Krishna is saying? many thanks

  • Google " themeasuringsystemofthegods "

  • 26:21 - What a scene as Eternity beholds and Arjun just so gets absorbed and soaked into this wonderful sight: Devotionally majestic, behold Lord himself :) What a feeling

  • @pushpargha So sad that, Dhritrasthra being blind from birth didnt as for Divya Dristhi from Vyasa to see the Virat roop ! may have a meaning in it or in his honesty !

  • @pushpargha Amen !

  • thank you

  • Vibhuti Yog...

  • @sebicheezburger it wont b understood by a crap in ur head.

  • This is WONDERFUL!

I wish they would show this on television here in the Central Valley of California!

  • Lets change places you can go here, and i will go to California,i dont think itd be worth it for you:D

  • i wish i could speak hindu!!

  • Keep wishing! The best way to get anything is to wish really hard!

  • or probably work on it, karma yoga :)

  • @plusquamverbis speak hindu..??? speak hindi dude. HAHAHA

  • 20:00 he looks like KIrk Hammett O.o

  • Does anybody know what happen with the actor that play Arjun? I couldn't find anything on the internet. Thanks.

  • do u mean in mahabharat or in his career? or in his personal life ???

well his real name is arjun ..and the last film he played was Arjun deva which was released in the year 2000

it may surprise you to know that Arjun is a Multitalanted personality who's been working as a sound technician, cinematography and in costum department.

not only that... he has played as a villian in movies ..like Karan Arjun,Jigar ..etc..

  • Sachinranabhat: thank you so much for your answer. I found some interviews with the other main actors but nothing about him. He is a great actor.

  • I met him sometimes in kumar Bhramswami's Satsang...You will find him with kumar ji everytime

  • RmrMarmoChannel : i would like to thank you for your reply. If you met him, tell him that here in uruguay there are people who thanks him for his exceptional work as arjun. Thanks again.

  • His real name is Feroz khan and his son starred in Kabhi khushi kabhi gham with shahrukh khan as his son...Feroz khan is now the devotee of Kumar Bhramrishi

  • i love episode 1-15 and the last ones

  • Krishna's 'Virat Roop' is one of the best scenes of this epic. It is a marvelous depiction of how The Lord encompasses everything in the form of Bramha, the creator, Vishnu, the preserver and Shiva, the destroyer. I am in awe of the manner in which the Hindu triumvirate has been depicted. The background score just adds to the beauty of this scene.

  • "hey mahabaaho aapna gaandeev uthaao aur yudh karo" at 35:30 minutes into the video......its just AWESOME...haha all bets are off after that lol.

  • All india should follow this. There is only one way to bring peace in India. WAR with PAK. at least survivors will live in peace. When there is no solution go for war. Do not be a cowerd like MMS and congress.

  • who is MMS ?

  • I don't know why ppl thumbed down u, coz u r right, dharma need tht karma

  • @aamit24

war can never bring peace.. you forgot the most imp thing krishna said when he agreed to be a shantidoot. pandavas were getting angry and excited for a war but krishna said that war should only take place when all the doors are closed. didnt you see the huge destruction caused by this war? so many warriors lyk bhishma and karna died and a whole yug of brave warriors ended.

  • Love the explanation by Lord Krishna...but I was wondering what were others doing on this battlefield for so many hours standing in the sun ? Is this the real truth that Lord Krishna explained so much to Arjuna on battlefield ? feels really strange that Duryodhana could wait for so long....

  • lol nice thought .. but he is God.. he made so long period look shorter for other people.. Time must have been stopped at that moment !

  • The explanation was in sloks and it's meaning was understood in detail by Arjuna. Also like sopcmustaine said, time must have stood still during this time.

All this explanation looked long when I first watched this serial during schooldays but could only grasp more meaning to it now. Only now could understand how deeply each word means in life and how it holds true through all ages. Bhagvad Gita is truly Amazing and just mind boggling.

  • to doubt is your karma. time stood still while he was explaining. if you remember time explained this in the start of episode 72

  • No my dear brother, Shri Krishna held the proceedings in a time warp while explainin the Gita to Arjuna.... What was a few minutes to the others was hours to Arjuna...

  • yeah, that should be true....it is for our understanding that this explanation by Lord Krishna must be extended to 1-2 episode. Man, this Mahabharat is so addicting...I finished off 6 episodes in about 5 hours...:P Lord Krishna's is great...Dunno what would have happnd if Lord Krishna would not have been in the Yuddh....

  • please can someone tell me who are the people flying in and out of Sri Krishna

mouth when he shows him his virat roop.

  • bec he said tht i am the one who is the reason of birth and end and people do get into me ..this is called life and death cycle... as said by sanjay as explanation

  • it is just a representation of the divine supreme as creator,protector,destroyer......essentially we are all recycled human beings :).....if we dont become sthithapragyan's in our lifetime at the least.....:)))

  • People are dying- going in to the mouth and People are being created- coming out of the mouth. This implies that God is creator and the destroyer and that we are a part of him.

  • What is "muni"?

  • @shiznite muni means a sage.. someone who has mastered the art of capitalizing on what Lord Krishna says in this epic.

  • @shiznite SIR MUNI IS REFERED TO AS KNOWLEGABLE PERSON LIKE A WIZARD

  • @GHAI007 : Muni isn't like Wizard..!!

He is the "KNOWLEDGEABLE" person, who knows to differentiate between whats right and whats wrong precisely.. An example of this is Maharshi VYAAS.. as shown in the epic..

  • you are right werewolfvsvamp... and so are others... but you are explaiinng it only in a scientific sense... but geeta.. also tells one how to behave socially... it has also got biological rules like survival of the fittest...and here the fittest guy is one who is makes the society fit and himself fits in the society... its also speaks abt governaence... right wrong....and in the end... mind control

  • Dear werewolfsvamp, I'm sorry to say that you have completely misunderstood the meaning of Bhagavad-gita. You have lamely tried to analyze the unlimited Absolute Supreme "Lord Krishna" into your own scientific and atheistic theories. By saying "god is nothing but the energy and mass of the universe", you have tried to put forward atheism directly and certainly you have no bhakti or devotion towards the Lord.

  • I suggest you go back and read Chapter 18, text 55 of the Bhagavad-gita where He is says He can be only understood through devotion. I pray that someday you will cultivate this devotion and make a step closer towards Him.

  • Whatz Wrong With Atheistic Theories of God or Supreme?

  • Geeta itself is the explanation of the work of the Lord ... the creation we call life.

At some point you have to imbibe it in yourself and apply it in your life. Desireless action. Can you do it? Can you understand your Karma bhumi as Arjun had to at the battlefield?

  • I had to split my comments into several short comments below. Please read them in series from top to down.

  • I have been reading comments of you guys and everyone has interpreted his/her own sense of Geeta.I have my own and what I have interepretedis after long analysis.

  • What are God & Aatma? What is sth which can't be created, destroyed, burnt, dried and be wet in this universe? Only one thing: ENERGY!

  • If you understand the formation of our universe, you will know that it is all made of energy. And by Einstein's E = mc^2, it is obvious that every type of mass in this universe is made of energy (even human body). If human body is alive and it is moving, it means that there is some energy in it. When it is dead, energy is lost and escaped in to the atmosphere with no limits as it can travel to anywhere.(Those who took High School Physics must be acquainted with this simple fact).

  • Where does our Aatma go after we are dead? It is released into the free atmosphere mixing and remixing with other free energies and converting itself into different types of masses(not necessarily human body; could be a planet, star, metal or non-metal, etc).

  • When a dead body is cremated, its mass will convert into some other type of energy and it will too escape into the atmosphere. But the energy which is keeping you alive now, is called your Aatma. Therefore, God is nth but the total energy, mass and the natural forces which exist in this universe. This implies that if you convert the whole mass of this universe into energy and combine it with total natural forces, it will be so big that nth would surpass it.

  • I am With You

  • Thanks :)

  • I Too Consider myself as A Spiritual ATheist Dear :)

  • The process of energy and mass conversion is possible and has been proved in science but if you wanna go into details, you should take some astronomy course and try to visualize it by yourself. Like Krishn said that we were,we are and we will exist; it is true as the mass can be converted into energy thus it will never be destroyed but only can take another form.

  • Here important part is the philosophy of Geeta which is very practical and true but I think you should look at it not only from the spiritual point of view but also as scientific truth.

  • i am reading The GITA since a long time but still we cant understand // digest that proper meaning......mean its new evrytime

  • Hari Om,

Hey Lord, you are the only Almighty. You neither have a begining nor an end. There is no one else above you. You are the Supreme.

Forgive me for my sins as you are the most mercifull. As you are a never ending ocean of knowledge, please give me knowledge so that I keep myself away from sins in my future. Please reside in my heart and let me reside in your heart.

    Jai Shri Krishna

  • Tathaastu Vats!

  • i m not a hindu but krishn is great

  • You don't have to be a hindu to learn good things. One who doesn't do good is neither hindu, muslim, christian or a jew.

  • he is a clear example of EGOISM jo vinash ka karan hai

  • @sapnadimpyy hi.. i used to bear the same thgt as u. because i did not understand what "HE" meant. When He says pray me, I am supreme, etc., He meant he was everything. Everything around us. And he told us that it was our duty to fulfill d deeds we have come here to do. Then He will love us back. This means this World will love us back. He is You. He is Me. He is Everyone. He is the living. He is the dead. He is material. He is not. He is the watch-man, who watches how we do our Karma.

  • @TIgeracademy u dont need to be hindu, muslim, christian or nybody to praise someone.as a human nature we all praise who has great qualities.

  • Bhagavad-gita was imparted by the Supreme Lord, Sri Krishna, just before the advent of the Kali-yuga. If we go through the Bhagavad-gita then we find in many places Lord Krishna says to surrender to him, remember him all the time and dedicate the results of our actions unto him. If we do that, the in Chapter 9.22 he declares he is ready to forgive our mistakes. I recommend reading Chapter 9, the most important chapter in Bhagavad-gita. This chapter carries the whole essence of Vedic knowledge.

  • Bhagwat gita was not imparted just before Kali-yuga. The Kali-yuga started when Parikshit (son of Abhimanyu) was nearing his retirement. There is a record of him actually trying to stop the kali-yuga. Get your facts right before you distort them with your mental gymnastics.

  • Prabhuji, please accept my humble obeisances.

I was not trying to say something by my own personal whims. Everything I have written, I am speaking what I have learned in various texts. The age of Kali had already started when Maharaj Parikshit was in power. In the 12th Canto Chapter 2 text 33,of the Srimad Bhagavatam or the "Bhagavata Mahapurana" it is declared clearly by Sukadeva Goswami to Parikshit that the Kali yuga began on the very same day Lord Krishna departed for his abode in Vaikuntha

  • This was around 36 years after the war of Kurukshetra.

  • lol well said man, that is probably the most emotional point of his updesh.

  • This is the most beautiful thing ever. If only I could follow his teachings I would be in a different plane of existence.

  • Prabhuji, always keep Lord Krishna in your mind, become his devotee. Banish all other varieties of religion and refrain from sense gratification. Slowly but surely Lord Krishna will reciprocate and then it will be easier for you to follow his teachings.

  • zivan ka saar

  • i love krishna's dialogues!!...this episode is amazing!!

  • Bhagavad-gita is the direct and prompt answer to whatever modern science questions.

  • how?
