Even though the speech sounds mean spirited, it is clear that this soldier has put in alot of physical and emotional effort into this. This is the same type of "pep-talk" one can occasionally expect from superiors during exercises, training, etc - within our own armed forces as well. He sounds rude and chauvinist, but he actually has a point behind it all: to try to motivate and build morale amongst a group of men who have been most likely put together quite hastily and may not know each other
