The problem with cancer is/was that we don't know why a cell misbehaves the way it does. Slowly, since our technology advances we can get better pictures on how and why, but we are still a long way from a cure. Also we're getting a clearer insight in the human genome, which is also a great help in finding out why things go badly.

Pancreatic cancer is simply one of the worst. It affects only 3% of the population but my husband was also one of that 3%. I lost him at 54 years of age on January 21, 2008. My mom got jaundice, and that is the number one symptom of pancreatic cancer, she was taken to the hospital, after the ct scans and mri's the doctors told us it was too late and that the cancer had spread, she was on morphin pumps and patches round the clock, it all too about 6 months, it happened very quickly, it does not show any symptoms, and when it does it is often too late. I am still in a daze, it is so unbelievable, may god give every one strength to carry on after losing a loved one.
