vtwc is a little close to the material- she loves it a lot. I understand what she says. The costumes, singing, etc. is not amazing, but it is a high school production. I think they deserve applause for trying it and I am sure they all had an amazing time doing it. as a theater performer and costume designer I have come to appreciate even the most basic attempts at a show. Bravo to the students for trying such a daring production even if perhaps it did not all come together in the end.

okay... the recording is pretty bad. or maybe i just went on a better night but i saw these guys live and they were AMAZING. i might add that OLD D was soft... i hugged him lol jon

Ok, no offense, but i can only hear one guy, everyone is being completely drowned out by girls trying to sing high soprano, and... Not doing it very well :/

I can understand that this is a school production so it won't be perfect, but c'mon... *Holds ears*

For a high school this is a good job. The role of Old D. is a very difficult role to play/cast. Only a few select performers can do it and do it well. Also keep in mind that anytime you play Old D. you will be compared to Ken Page who played it in the VHS Version.

I think VTWC means is that all though these performers did work hard this musical is very hard to put on. My drama teacher refused to let us even thinking of doing this in high school She said that too many people would compare us to the video version and that it was a lot hard to do then we may think.

if we ever sang like that in high school we would be shot in the gd head...I hate being negative but this is just...I mean it seems like there was no effort and that they weren't really selective of who was cast...sorry :(

Oh my god. They didn't have to take the Cat vocalising literally. The final chorus before Ad-dressing of Cats is especially horrendous.
