The Best Electric Bike

US Electric Bicycle law has a 20 MPH and 750 Watt motor limit. If Missori law is unique that allows 25 MPH electric vehicles to be considered bicycles thats great, but most of the other states follow the US Electric Bicycle law. (SR 1154).

The electric bike in the post goes 18 MPH and is 600 watts so this bike does comply with US Electric Bicycle law

Oregon is 1000 watt, 24 mph on level ground, but haul butt down hills as long as you don't go over posted speed limit, btw, OR only allow scooters in 25mph zones, go figure! lol

18 MPH on the motor. It freewheels so going downhill much faster. I had it reach 36.5 mph downhill but I do not recommend that speed, too fast!

I dont neccessarly think that 36mph is 'that' fast for a bike..I have been much much faster than that..so 36 isin't too bad

Motor is brushless!! This is best bike available at this price point. Outperforms many others much more expensive. Chain drive provides excellent low-end torque and allows for total free wheeling when motor is not engaged, unlike hub drive systems

I have to agree my friend. Chain Drives are great for torque. Nice simple system. As the price for nickel and lithium batteries comes down I hope this system can be lightened up a little. By the way , what is the price?

Not the best, those brushed motors and chain drive are very loud! (for an eBike that is).

SLA batteries are used as we cannot find light weight batteries that can deliver he required power at a decent prioce point. Still the best bike available at this price point and still far superior to many other more expensive bikes
